The official 80's love thread

Post anything 80's here, music, ads, anything that brings back the love for such a great era. Stimulate that effing nostalgia gland!

I was a massive, massive fan of 'He Man and the Masters Of The Universe' when I was younger

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yeA7a0uS3A

I had most of the figures, Castle Grayskull, Snake Mountain and everything, used to spend most of my pocket money on it (this was before I got into gaming) and watched every episode of the cartoon that came on. Looking back at it now, it all seems really homoerotic  and I never realised at the time just how little He Man actually uses his sword or gets into a proper fight, but Skeletor is still a hilariously funny bad guy.

Me too, can you remember the god awful movie version with Dolph Lundgren As He-man? Ugh. The saving grace is Courtney Cox is in there too. What about Dungeons and Dragons? I have the full box set, sad fucker that I am. My nipper loves them!

Britain's greatest group. Music's greatest image and sexy-coolest bass line ever. None other than Sigue Sigue Sputnik. Epitomising the 80's for hype, they were actually far ahead of their time. Fantastic! :D 8)

How many of you guys were drooling, eh? Still aching now. And great 80's music to boot. :D

More classic pop of the best decade for music. Sillyness abounds, but who cares! Great stuff.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pln7nsS ... re=related
And who didn't sing along with this chant-tastic slice of punk-pop greatness throughout (and beyond!) that decade. Brilliant. 8)

One of my favourites, a little doozy of a song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpi-k2Vz ... re=related
And another favourite. Takes me right back to the best holiday of my teenage years. Oh, yes!

Great, great song choice, crusto! He was considered old when he first hit the big time with that song - 27 I think he was. Good live act, too.

One of the hardest 80's songs to find on compilation. Thankfully I found it (but also bought their Best Of whilst in Japan, where they were huge!). Brilliant throwaway pop.

Classic theme music; classic show. Got the whole lot on video.

Another fantastic theme. And one of my fave shows from any period.

Quite probably the quintessential 80's tv show!

One of my faves, Phil Oakey - Electric Dreams. :)

Still really like the film as well, even though it's a bit dated now.

Stone cold classic, and one of those videos where you spot something new every time you see it:

My favourite Bond theme:

And another song you just can't help singing along to:

The other thing that bugs me about He Man you never saw actually hit anybody, he did use his sword to kill Lord Masque... Again in the two darkest eposide he Man kills Lord Masque and Evil Seed, but they don't destroy a Robot with a personality.. Same with the Horde they can kill/destroy them assuming that they are Robots, you see them going into pubs.. Do Robots drink alcohol in Pubs?

I still have He Man, Skeletor and Battle Cat figure's I remember want Tricolps just because he had this glow in the dark skeleton ring free with him
