Swap / Wanted - retro computers

Post by Janos » Thu Mar 15, 2012 9:50 am

Hi all,

I've got couple of retro computers I can offer for swapping for an equally old vintage computer if someone's interested, and got something to offer :)

IBM 5155, 360k floppy drive + 10MB HDD in excellent working condition
Acorn Electron 32k in box with all the cables and books+games fully working, mint condition
Toshiba T3100e pc 286 laptop + bag, fully working, very good condition
Enterprise 128 with it's charger and games on tapes, fully working mint condition.

+ couple of retro laptops let me know if you want me to list them.

I'd be interested in ZX80 or Commodore PET

Cheers,
Janos

Might be worth coming along to one of the next retro shows and having a stand selling what you've got. As others have said once we all 'get to know you' trading will be fine.

I just moved from St. Albans (where I was born) before xmas.

I would love that Enterprise but don't have anything to swap for it.

Antiriad, yes I know now... Last time I have been on the airport I was actually looking for a magazine just like this! Couldn't find anything in the subject (retro computing/games) but at least now I know it exists. I must find a place in St Albans to buy one, maybe Sainsburys? :)

Jagfest, there are couple on ebay from Hungary actually, I've seen one for 89.99 buy it now, can give you loads of games if you get one! :)

Yeah, my local Sainsburys used to stock RG, but for some reason they stopped. So now I have to go into WH Smiths, which is a bit of a pain for me, but hey.

I really should subscribe!

I can have a scout about in stevenage if you dont mind the short trip up the A1(m), its a shame you werent on here a few weeks back as I had an old Pentium 2 Gateway PC that I scrapped.
Retro wise round Herts keep an eye on freecycle, the car boots and Cash converters type stores as the shops that did properly sell Retro stuff seemed to have dropped like flys in the recesssion, the only Retro you tend to see kicking about is PS1 in the shops.
