Gamer So Good You Can Hire Him
A GAMER has got so good at Call Of Duty he's started CHARGING other players £10-an-hour to be their virtual bodyguard - vowing: "I will take bullets for you."
The sharp-shooter is offering rubbish players the chance to pay him to watch their back on-screen and kill rivals in a string of Xbox 360 titles.
The player - TobySmith - promises in an online ad: "I will be by your side the entire time and will fight for you, keeping enemies away from you, protecting you when you snipe, even SACRIFICING MY LIFE to save yours.
"This is 1/2 hour of GAME TIME, meaning time taken to join a game won't be included."
The entrepreneur's services are available in the games Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty Black Ops, Halo Reach, Battlefield 3 and Battlefield Bad Company 2.
He is flogging half-an-hour of his time for £5 on website fivesquids, where people sell various jobs for a fiver.

I wouldn't mind seeing the reactions of the Dragon's Den panel to that one!

When you think you've got problems you don't really need,
They're maybe not as bad as they seem,
Cos in a world full of misery, with hatred and greed,
Your problems are another man's dream.

I'll pay him £1000 to harass everyone on COD for a week.

While I haven't heard of someone specifically 'mercing' for cash, it's not an incredibly new phenomenon - many pro gamers have been offering coaching services for a while. In the past it was mainly for Counter-Strike, but more recently a number of SC2 pros are doing the same thing.

To be fair I don't have the opportunity to play COD 17 hrs a day like a certain forum member!thl wrote:Here's an opportunity for sscott.

I read this & I think "Maybe the human race isn't going to make it after all, perhaps it's time some other species got a crack at running the planet."

Does anyone want to pay me £10 an hour to play Bad Dudes versus Dragon Ninja two player with them? I'm pretty good at it. I have to be Striker though, that's non-negotiable.
PM me.

The offer to be your bullet-stopping monkey doesn't necessarily guarantee he's a decent player, does it?
Perhaps look for any references / testimony / achievements / whatever passes for credibility in such circles?

Unless he has his own theme music...not interested.
Seriousily though, why does'nt he just say:Ego for hire.
'I will take bullets for you'? Hold on, this sort of filth adorns public lav.doors down my way, usually scribbled in black permenant marker, along with a mobile number and email adress, often part scratched out......
