NES-Bit Magazine System - Issue 2

Post by Lorfarius » Thu Aug 25, 2011 12:50 pm

I'm sure not everyone looks at the NES-Bit thread and I think this is worth of a thread of it's own being such big news :D

Myself and a few forumites have joined forces to create a magazine in a bid to help promote the site and just to bring more interest to the system as well as help with hosting costs. So far things are going very well and we are on the way to finishing in the next week or so. However I'm still eager to bring a few more writers on board and I'm sure a few on here might be interested so here I am with the begging bowl. :P

There is a thread over on the NES-Bit forum which can be seen here which chats about the mag in more detail:

http://www.nes-bit.com/NesBitForum/view ... f=17&t=343

Really pleased with what we have achieved so far and we do have a few complete sections. First a preview of the cover:

And a look at a double page spread:

So yes a good look at what we have achieved so far but with a deadline looming I'm still looking for writers. :D There will be PDF and printed copies available as I'm hoping to take these out to lots of different retro events.

Yup, looks great so far!

Unfortunately I know as much about the NES as I know about women so can't help you.

Just big thank you to all those who have PM'd so far. The articles are flooding in with the deadline looming and we are well on our way. For those that can't write well I expect you to buy

The NES cart needs a good blow first or it won't turn on properly.

Oh-er.

This looks ace, stick some 360 and PS3 stuff in as well and I'll definitely buy it.

How about a "Where's Wally" style compo, if you can find the tiny hidden 360, your copy is free

Just an update but all the articles are locked down so to speak (God doesn't that sound serious  ). Several pages are now complete and we are well on track to cranking out Vol 1 soon. A big thanks to all those involved included a couple of forumites from here, been a real achievement considering the mag has been written by volunteers!
