Everdrives wheres best
ELLO THER!
I am looking for some place where I can get a flash cart for the SNES/Mega Drive (maybe other consoles) cheap.
(And a roll of duct tape)
I take it that the Everdrive ones are the best. So where can I get them cheap?

warners retro corner is probably your best bet for a UK seller & there currently in stock, i've been meaning to get one myself, i just keep putting it off!

£70 does seem to be the going rate.
Probably cheaper than scoring a load of SNES carts and less mess

Re: Everdrives wheres best
yeah £70's about right, it's still a lot of cash for a little circuit board but when you think of what it can do all of that goes out the window
Im looking to get the Megadrive version first as its supposed to work with every game, i will hopefully get the SNES version in the future when its at 100% compatability
My fingers hovering over the buy button!

Hey guys.
Funnily enough I was thinking about getting one of each myself.
Does anyone here have one orboth? If so, i'd be really interested to here how they compare to playing the originals.

The SNES version will never have 100% compatibility because quite a few games had special chips on the cartridges which can't be emulated on these carts and would need the actual chip on board (probably taken from an original cart). Although some suppliers are making the carts with a DSP1 chip soldered on them, I doubt any of the games in this list will ever work: http://www.retrousb.com/downloads/incom ... ylist.html

I have the Megadrive Everdrive and the Master Everdrive and both don't have any difference to playing originals. If anything though the Everdrive has benefits, like being able to play mods and homebrews on original hardware. The Master Everdrive also supports SG1000 Games.Nintendo&Sega wrote:Hey guys.

I have been looking for a SNES Everdrive and N64 Everdrive but the listed suppliers never seem to have any stock and I am a bit wary or pre-ordering. I wish they would stop developing everdrives for new systems for a while, and just catch up on demands of carts for the systems they currently support, as they can't seem to cope with the current demand.

is your megadrive modded at all? as i've heard everdrives may not work on a 50/60hz & Region switched console, is this true?StarshipUK wrote:

I have a Everdrive for the SNES and Mega Drive. Both systems are modded and the Everdrive works fine.TheNewMonkey wrote:is your megadrive modded at all? as i've heard everdrives may not work on a 50/60hz & Region switched console, is this true?
