C&VG Magazine Collection...At Last - COMPLETE!!!

Post by bensonrad » Mon Aug 01, 2011 7:28 am

Just an hour ago, I paid for the final issue (265) I needed to have the full set. Its sweet relief I can tell you that I will no longer have to keep scanning ebay for magazine. It was sheer luck on Saturday evening, I did a quick search and found issue 166 was ending that evening. That issue has been the bane of my collecting for the past couple of years, so I bid to win it....and did. 265 was alreday in the pipeline, but only confirmed today. Once these final 2 drop through my postbox, I'll do some photos of the collection on my weeks off this month.

I have over 100 dupes, which I'll be selling off at somepoint.

Its taken me about 4-5 years to get them all, but I am there at last. :D
WANTED: ANY SNES or GAMEBOY GAMES, OR EMPTY BOXES, INSTRUCTION MANUALS or WHITE INNER TRAYS, going for FULL SETS of both.

Very nice indeed! C+VG was always one of my favourite mags when I was young. In a perfect world I'd love to own a complete Zzap64 collection but I think I'll just stick to the scans for now.

Congratulations, Ben! I'm really pleased for you. :)

I know how difficult it is to complete a collection -- the closer you get, the harder it is to find the missing issues. After twelve years, I'm still about 40 issues short of completing my Sega magazine collection (I have 626 issues, but I reckon there are a total of 667 unique issues to find).

Once again, well done. Your search is over -- I bet it feels great! :D

Bravo Sir!

when Personal Computer Games shut down in the early 1980s, it was C&VG that probably saved my gaming interest. fond memories indeed.

Cheers all for the congrats, I pretty much have all I want now, full Super Play, Total!, Mean Machines, CVG, Retro Gamer...I guess there is just the question of the missing 15 issues of NMS (the original run of Nintendo Official Magazine) for a full set of those, Its really the Best of the Snes era i was after.

Actually I am still missing a few of those guide to Console bookazines whichwere a bit like CVG summer specials.
