Darnation. I can't get down that early ... I've just realised I'm double-booked and won't be able to make the afternoon at all. :(

Will still endeavour to drive down for the evening.

sorry but you can't do this! using jelly baby's as prizes was my idea and is as such my intelectual property, you can use any other confectionary you want, but if you use jelly baby's i will sue you so hard the following ten generations of your family tree will be living below the poverty line! im not joking!
[i am joking :)]
I suppose it's good you are joking seeing as I have 6KG of Jelly Babies here for competition prizes :)
I'm gonna burn your house down. With a lemon.

Can't believe it! Been waiting for years since the last CGE in Croydon for a decent Retro exhibition near me (I live in Chelmsford). I log on to the Retro Gamer site after not looking at the forums here for a long time and there it is! A Retro exhibition in Chelmsford!

If I can convince the Wife to let me I will come along this afternoon :)

Just got back in from a very enjoyable evening out - thanks, Steve and Rinoa for all your hard work!

All in all, this was a really chilled, relaxing event which was just great for chatting to ppl that I hadn't even been expecting to be there. No stress attached and it's great to see an event happening on this side of the country too.

Had a great time. :)

I was also amazed to discover just how much it costs to post 6.5 Kg of jelly babies.

Had a great time, massive thanks to super Steve and the lovely Rinoa for all the hard work into putting it on. :D
All in all it was a great event and I was in favour of the chosen consoles and multi-carts. The only disappointment was the omission of the N64, but no biggie.

I didn't get home till 3am, due to the combination of not wanting to leave and being diverted on the M25 on the drive back.
I was very glad about the fact it was pretty local to me though, you should organise an event in Chelmsford again.

Gutted I didn't win any competitions. My brother and any my mate won 3 between them, I'll never live it down!

Thanks to everyone who turned up and made it such an enjoyable day! Met quite a few people from the forum who I hadn't seen or spoken to before which was really nice and also good fun catching up with the regulars :D Nice to see there were some locals who turned up who had a genuine interest in gaming too.

Good to see and meet the Atari guys. Really enjoyed the Gorf competition, that was a fun game. I'll have to start picking up a few more games for my Jaguar now :)

Also, a big thanks to Sierra for giving us a lift back last night, much appreciated!

I'll have to try and pester Steve into doing another event here sometime :)

I had a fantastic day, it was great to put some names to some faces and catch up with some old friends too.

I think my personal highlight was singing on Rockband in the evening and getting a 100% score
