That was definitely mine. I remember dropping it now.

EDIT: Also, I just thought. Isn't it odd that the stuff we used to find on the ground, we now find on the internet instead? Games, music, porn......

If there's one thing we can glean from this...it's that we're all a bunch of grubby scutters, who have no shame :D

It looked like it had been kicked about a bit.

It didnt work
I too found an XBOX, and actually that's why I even have one. I also found my current TV on the side of the road. Works perfectly for my older systems.

A colleague at work game me a PC game he found a few years back; STAR TREK: BIRTH OF THE FEDERATION, says my list.

Overall, though, I'm not one of the lucky ones. I don't find stuff in nearby skips, I don't find stuff in car boots or charity shops. I'm hoping there's an afterlife, and my reward is waiting for me there. Unless someone else finds it first. :?

bensonrad wrote:Oh and I found a scratchcard on the ground too a week or so ago, it had won £5, so drove on to the pub and treated my wife and daughter to Sunday afternoon drinkie with it.
people like me are so used to losing on those damn things that we just scratch em and chuck em without looking lol

that's pretty amazing, someone went to the trouble of boxing it up just to dump it in the street???

mainvein wrote:in my last job running a student halls we used to get loads of stuff left once the students had left, not quite finding it on the ground but still lots of free stuff, had a few computers, stereos, dvds, an lcd tv, i used to just pilfer it
now this is a job i hadn't considered but now it sounds very profitable, cant believe people leave that kind of stuff behind!

i have no shame when it comes to collecting games tat, anything is fair game.
i just don't have the balls to do this, half expect someone to come running out and beat me to death

One time he was painting a council flat/former drug den and was given permission to keep whatever he found in there (once the needles and pipes had been removed). He invited me round for some looting; he took a PS3 and a TV (fair enough), I got a sack full of PS1 and PS2 games, memory cards and control pads, plus a boxed/sealed R2-D2 cookie jar and some DVDs.
essentially what you've done here is gone to cash converters. . . . . . . but cut out the middle man

can't believe some of the stuff we've all found, seems like madness to just throw stuff away like that, even if you don't want it there's always a better disposal route than just throwing it away. lunacy!
here's to scrounging!

Once found a brand new Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion for Game Gear on the bus, happily I had a GG at the time!

I once found a tape with loads of Speccy games on by my local field. Finding games you'd never heard of was a magical pre-internet thing!
