Did I sense irony in the above post? ;)

I don`t think Wenger should go, really. Sure, he has to take at least some blame for current state of affairs but you can`t forget we`ve been in top four - and more - since he took over. So this year is a catastrophe, maybe next one in Europa L. Well ,tough ^%$*&. I still love the man and can`t imagine anyone else at the helm.

The players need to step up too and realise who they`re playing for and what privilege that is. The comedy slapstick routine witnessed this Saturday was excruciating.
There also need to be some qualitysignings next Jan, otherwise we can`t dream of getting back into the contest. Coaching youngsters is all great and good but top four demands big names these days.

In other news, it was funny watching City getting drawn back from we`ve-won-already! into harsh reality of Premiership. Might be good for them in the long run. Still, David (quick)Silva is my player of the season so far - just pure magic and pleasure to watch.

Wenger should fall on his sword. Really. That bloke from Serenity could help him.

i don't think wenger will resign. ever. if/when he goes, i doubt it will be his call.
well, unless he gets enough stick from the less grateful arsenal fans to prompt him to leave. the same fans, who might get a bit of a shock when they struggle to find the "right" man to replace him...

What the hell has happened to Lee Camp?

A year or so ago he was the greatest keeper in the Championship & now he seems to be a bit of a liability. :(

Shame, because he's really needed at international level, as Blaney, Mannus, Carson & Tuffey ain't going to cut the mustard as big Maik's replacements.

There's no doubting Arsene was told to go out and spend the cash at the end of the transfer market , and there's also no doubt that he ended up with at least 1 player he wouldn't otherwise have bought. He's a great manager who's brought Arsenal not only great success but also great entertainment. How easily you forget the '1-0 to the Arsenal' chants of the George Graham days, unforgettable for the iconic figure of Tony Adam's with his 'offside' hand aloft.

The same happened at Newcastle - fans were getting sick of seeing their team lose 3-4 , so they ended up with a team that lost 1-0. Be grateful that you have a team who are entertaining to watch , for games were you are almost guaranteed to see the back of the net bulging several times per game, and with a manager who epitomises the French individuality.

If you think he didn't need to go out and buy then you're probably more blinkered than he is. They've won 2 league games since the League Cup final... one of them being a very lucky home win against Swansea. Things needed to change, he then lost two of his best players because "we were going backwards and the manager wasn't doing anything to suggest it would improve" (paraphrased from Nasri interview, can't translate now!) and wasn't going to do anything about it. They've got one of the weakest defences in Premier League history (officially) and any team who attacks them have got a very good chance of doing damage. He HAD to go out and spend money. Frankly, I'm enjoying their decline but if anyone sitting there thinks there aren't any problems they're more deluded than Arsene himself.

I'm not saying he shouldn't have. He should have spent on players he wanted before the season started, not a couple of hours before the window closed.
