Well, that's the dream. A player who won ten league titles would be handy on the pitch.

Well , Fergie's won 15 (if you include 3 in Scotland), should he put his boots back on?

That would be quite the sight! (And of course, Dalglish won three European Cups as a player...!)

The first mistake of the tournament. Booking a training camp in Krakow before the draw was even made. We've got so much travelling await the inevitable "tired" stories after the competition.

Get in - Wrexham pull off a shock win away at Brentford to make the FA Cup 3rd round for the first time in ages. :D

Mind you, Dragons vs. Bees? No contest...

1-0 loss to Brighton in the 92nd minute.

Know how many shots on target Brighton had? One. Just about sums up our season.

We'll get that before the tournament anyway, how there are too many cup games, league games etc etc.

Disappointing result for Liverpool. Still no idea what to make of Andy Carroll. He scored 17 goals & 8 assists in 39 games to get Newcastle promoted, then 11 goals & 3 assists in 19 as a Prem League debutant 20 year old, so he must have something about him.

Can any Newcastle fans out there got any thoughts on him??

I'd imagine they are quite similar thoughts to those Liverpool fans have about Fernando Torres!

Ah, Fernando. For two years he was simply majestic. Too many injuries, rushed back for the world cup, Gerrard got injured and so he lost his partner-on-the-pitch. The dream was over.

Benitez built the team around Torres and it worked brilliantly. But when he was out injured...no Plan B.

When Carroll was sold pretty much all of my Geordie friends were glad about the deal as in their view they got £35m for a great Championship player who was unproven at Premiership level.

Now, inbetween wondering where the £35m has gone they tend to laugh at how bad Carroll is doing.
