Hey there guys!

New to the website but have been a reader of the mag for sometime.

I'll also be attending Replay. Will be my first one! Not quite sure what to expect really... Had a quick look at the gallery photos though.

Just gotta sort out hotel now, as I'll be travelling up from Reading.

Make yourself known when you're there and hang around here for the next month or so. The organisers are fairly regular here as are many of the visitors, so you'll get to know a few (user)names. You're bound to fall in with someone to go for meals/beers/games with.

There's a first time for all of us (I've not been to many myself) but I found it very easy to mix with people here, its a good crowd.

Sounds great!

I'll try and hang out for a bit... Not really sure what to post on or what threads to start though!

Hi and welcome to the Forum!
I'm sure you will find things to reply to on here - looking at the systems you own, there will be loads to join in with!
As for going to the Replay Expo - you'll be fine! We are all a friendly bunch (some are quite strange though  )

Sorted out the train! I'm ready to go, hope to catch you there! :D BTW, if anyone else is taking the train from London Euston, you'll certainly have to change at Preston.

The full announcement for Brawl4all has been made on Electronic Dojo.... :D

Last year, Blackpool played host to the Replay Expo; a fantastic event celebrating the history of video games both retro and contemporary. Practically every system, console and form of hardware was present, in addition to countless arcade machines. It was an incredible success featuring pretty much everything gamers grew up playing, and this November, you'll have another chance to check it out at the Replay Expo 2011!

In addition to all the retro gatherings, there will be a magnificent pinball machine showcase; a collection which you will be hard pressed to EVER replicate, and of course, there are also several modern games being represented. The European Gaming League will be present in full force, running Halo, Call of Duty and FIFA tournaments. Many influential and legendary games developers and publishers will also have a presence at the expo.

Electronic Dojo is happy to announce that we'll be hosting another set of tournaments there again this year, and Just to make sure the dedicated fighters are guaranteed entrance to the event, we'll be reserving 50% of all spots for all games to give you all first refusal!

Saturday 5th November:
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition - £10 entry, 64 Player Cap
Super Street Fighter II: HD Remix (played in classic mode of course!) - £5 entry, 32 player cap

Sunday 6th Novermber:
Marvel vs Capcom 3: £10 entry 64 Players Cap (that's right...the LAST big MvC3 tournament before Ultimate is released!)
Tekken 6: £5 entry, 32 Players

VENUE ENTRY: £12 single day, £20 weekend (which essentially grants access to every retro game you can think of, as well as free casuals at the Electronic Dojo area)

TOURNAMENT ENTRY: £10 per game.
Advanced Sign up offer: Sign up early on the site and you can enter both main games (SSF4:AE on the Saturday and MvC 3 on the Sunday) for only £15!
This offer is available to advanced sign ups only, and is NOT available on the day at the venue.

PRIZE: Cash Prizes for all games, with SSFIV: AE GUARANTEEING a £500 cash prize!
FORMAT: Double Elimination Bracket best 2/3 games throughout!
PLATFORM: PS3

The event was absolutely superb last year and even without entering the tournaments, it's a rare chance to visit your gaming past, enjoy tournaments on several games (I'm praying for more 24 player Bomberman!), and network with gamers both old and new, so I can't recommend it enough!

Is it just me, or are other people having a nightmare trying to find a hotel for the Saturday night? Most places require a two night stay, but I only need the one! D:

I'm staying two this year, but last year only one - the Best Western does one night stays, was a perfectly fine place. It's on the seafront but too far to walk though, you'd want tram or taxi.

Looks like I will make it down again this year, just trying to convince some mates to come along as well at the moment. Got my brother coming along to make the drive from Aberdeen a bit less of a drag.

Should be getting tickets and sorting out my hotel this weekend, roll on November.
