No Virtua Fighter at Brawl 4 all? :x

Is there anywhere nearby than does decent food? Ate at the Norbreck last year  Not an experience I want to repeat!

Everyone knows Street Fighter and Tekken are better thatn VF anyway

Across from the car park is a chip shop restaurant which is v.good (there were complaints of long waiting times but 5 of us went in and got a table straight away)

Also round the corner (10min walk) is a Beefeater restaurant next to the Premier Inn, where a load of us stayed. Ate breakfast and dinner there everyday and it was fantastic!

The Chippy is the place to go for snacks, even does a decent veggie option. Hopefully they'll be expecting us this year and have extra staff on to cope.

Been back since, nice people. They don't usually open on Sunday but business was so good they opened just for us.

I have a twin room booked but the chap who is coming with me is now only able to make it on Saturday. If anyone needs somewhere to stay give me a shout. I'm staying at the Windsor and Westmoorland. It's a 10min walk away from the venue and is basic/clean with a decent breakfast. £25 would cover it :D I don't smell or snore too badly either ;)

Can't remember if I have requested a name badge either but I would like one please.

Sweet. Last year it was £5 for cheese on toast with abit of salad at the norbreck
LOL Tekken must be for all the cool kids.

Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels or B+B's in Blackpool or where NOT to go?

Thank you

I'd take what you can get at this point. Places are selling out fast.

I love how the reviews of the Norbreck hotel are so bad (but as a venue for REPLAY it's great).

I have stayed in the Best Western before and that was good but a bit far away (£10 taxi journeys add up), that's all I can say really. I have stayed in other places in B-pool over the years but I forget the names and most were really shitty.

Maybe true for places near the Norbreck, but in Blackpool as a whole you won't have any problem finding somewhere to stay, every other building is a B&B and many will have vacancies, as its very out of season. Last weekend of the illuminations doesn't matter for sh!t.

I've just confirmed a single room at the Poldhu, which is the nearest place to the Norbreck itself:
http://www.poldhu-hotel.co.uk/

Nothing fancy, no en-suite, but only £25 a night to be next door to the event.

They still have rooms available at the moment, though its a small place. No idea what its really like as I've not been back on business to check it out - last time I was headed there the meeting was cancelled so I only got as far as Edinburgh.

They do have rooms with en-suite, double rooms, but I was being a cheapskate as usual.

Need to book the train but that's pretty much fixed price.

Val says to give her a call if you want to book (I couldn't get the website to accept a date).
