Jim'll Fix It

I've become a little bit obsessed with Jimmy Savile of late I'm afraid.

So what would you like Jim to fix for you? -

Dear Jim,

I would like to run a big tank through central London please. And then I'd like to meet The Duke of Edinburgh.

Please could you fix it for me,

clarance (37½)

I wrote to him when I was at school to see if I could meet the Green Cross Code man, I'm still waiting for a response.

My 'fix it' involving my school, a B-52 and a full bomb load never got a reply either.

He came to see my brother a couple of times around November up in St James hospital in Leeds. My little brother suffered massive head/brain injuries after a senseless attack in a Wakefield nightclub. Sir Jimmy is such a wonderful bloke who always puts others first. His visit touched us all.

I remember the day when I was polishing my philips screwdriver and got the reply from Jim. I asked to meet Frank bruno the boxer. Imagine my surprise when he arrived in the cell next to me, to be chaperoned by none other than Jimmy saville himself.....

murderous thoughts of `cleaning the streets of bitches` and voices from the lord god were gone from my head for a split second

I put down my screwdriver, put on my best clothes and shook hands with the gentle giant.....

great day.

Cheers Jim....

Peter, broadmoor.

this picture couldnt even have been photoshopped in the mind of an insane artist......

and it happened........not sure who I am scared of the most, peter, jim or frank........

I envied the kid who visited the set of Empire Strikes Back more than I have ever envied anyone in my life. How unfair that this silly little child should get to go instead of me.

Keeping the Star Wars connection, I was deeply touched by Peter Cushing's appearance on the show to have a new breed of rose named after his wife. He couldn't have been more opposed to the screen presence I was so familiar with if he tried, he came across as a rather lovely gentleman.

Dear Jim,
Could you fix it for me to swim in a pool full of banana Angel Delight?
Yours sincerely,

Do you like the music of Showaddywaddy?

Sorry, I've been watching old clips of Mock The Week too much :) Always think of this clip whenever I think of Jimmy Saville now though....
