Thanks for bringing the DS along. We will probably run the Saturn bomberman as 8-man (although it does support 10 man). This is because the maps are slightly bigger, and the epic fail that was the 10 player bomberman comp at RCM... which I think might still be running!

We will also have 5 player bomberman running throughout the event on the Turbo Grafx 16 (PC Engine). This is the best version of bomberman imo.

Hey all,
Got a late addition to the competition list :)

The Beercave Games Minotaur Challenge Cup

While I was over in Crete a few weeks back, I rescued this friendly little chap from the Labyrinth*:
Image

So I thought it would make perfect sense to use him as a shameless promotional gimmick for my new homebrew game - Sheep Snaggers 2 : Ovine Boogaloo

This will be running as an all-weekend** high score contest. No limit on the number of times you can play (no hogging the machine though, play nice kids!), just whoever's on top of the high score table at the end of the competition takes the prize.

*By 'Labyrinth', I mean 'gift shop' ;)

**All weekend = whatever time I arrive friday until 8pm Saturday
I'm making a game in one month -See how I get on!
Or check out my old stuff

Just to note the Sheepoid Comp is bought to you by http://www.c64endings.co.uk/ and http://www.gtw64.co.uk/ - Not c64endings.org - My bad (and two websites well worth checking out!)

Wish I could be there, it sounds like it will be a fantastic event.

Hope all goes well and please take plenty photos / vids and share all the stories when you all return.

Should be catching you all at Replay in November.

If there is another Retrovision in 2012 i will do my best to attend then.

We could also do with some power extension leads if anyone could bring any along please. Can't find any shops in oxford which sell these for a reasonable price.

Due to a mix up we now have no guitar controllers for the xbox 360. If anyone can bring any along please help. I just phoned 4 game shops but none have any in stock. Thanks.

Thank you to the team for yet another wonderful weekend of retro gaming. The utmost respect to all of you for setting up a great event.

Big shout out to Markie, Steve, Matt, and the team. Hi to newbie Dave and his cool Commodore 64 t-shirt. Thanks to Jason for introducing me to WHDload on the Amiga, which I have now got up and running on my system. Always good to see the gorgeous Paul Drury and his sidekick dad. Hi to Alex. Good to meet Colin and to see his Commodore 64 game. Always love Juice and his amazing t-shirts. Great to finally meet Richard Bayliss in the flesh. Beerman is the coolest b-b-q chef. Jools was cool, calm and jammie, what with winning 2 trophies. Bane was hilareous as always. Nice to see the gorgeous Rinoa again. Loved Rob's purple suit. Goodluck to Simon with his new life in a guitar. A big hug for my no.1 buddy Frank Gasking.

Guys n gals... It was a bloody delight. Thank you.

Vinny :D
