Just want to say a BIG thanks to all for a brilliant weekend (another one of my favourites!), especially the RV Crew for doing such a fantastic job yet again! Sad to see it's all over already though. It went far too quickly!

Always great to catch up with familiar faces, especially those I haven't seen since last year's RV, and also meeting new people. You're a bloody lovely bunch! Looking forward to the next one already.

Highlights also included winning two of the competitions (Tetris DS & Ham(p)ster Ball), playing Taiko Drum Master, Rock Band (thanks to Si for masking my dreadful, drunken singing ;)) Beerman's BBQ, coming home with what felt like a third of the auction (great work Amy!), and the list goes on. The only low point was actually having to go home at the end of it.

My photos of the weekend (sadly not enough) are on Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... .511771549

Thanks again to Markie, Steve, Rob, Matt & co, and congrats on raising a great amount for charity :)

The tentative (but most likely) dates for RV2012 are:
4th-7th May 2012 (4 Days - Friday-Bank Holiday Monday)
I'm gonna burn your house down. With a lemon.

I too had a great time - wish I could have stayed longer but there's always next time :) Highlight for me was playing on the mame x-arcade things and the awesome Taito drum game which I really should get my own copy of! Next event I promise myself I'll make more of an effort to join in on some of the competitions / social gaming bits as I think I spent the whole day playing games on my own - whoops!

No problem :) Better to give it all to someone who appreciates it rather than it just sitting in my spare room being unloved!

I just wanted to say, as a "newb", I had a great time. Only there for the Saturday but played a lot of machines, met a lot of people and the auction was great (well done Amy and crew - must have been knackering).

But where did that Game & Watch go, eh!?

See you next year. Now off to play House of the Dead 2 on my DC with gun from the auction 8)

Yep that was me making a guest appearance for a limited time! It's hard to tell who's who if you don't know already though isn't it...!

I had a great time! I especially liked the Bomberman and Tetris DS tournaments. I have to admit, whoever did up that C64 to look like a Spectrum certainly knew what they were doing! I'll definitely make my way back next year!

I spoke to Jeff about 2 week before the auction to arrange signage of those 5 games. They would have been present at the auction except poor Jeff had some stuff crop up. But he said he would post out to the individual winners. Did you want a final list of the stiff in the auction? I still have the final saved file.

Has anyone seen/found my Minotaur trophy? I seemed to have lost it. I thought I had left it at the hotel by mistake but they have informed me that it isn't there :-( I hope someone has found it at the venue. Please let me know.

Vinny.
