According to the BBC website, he's been seriously injured while filming Top Gear. The jet car that he was driving crashed he had to be airlifted to hospital.

Apparently he was conscious and speaking when the fire crew arrived, I guess that's a good sign.

Hope he'll be OK. I'm not fanatical about cars but I love Top Gear and it wouldn't be the same without him. Those three guys are perfect together.

I am glad that he is stable now, let's just hope that he will recover soon.

Top Gear would not be the same or as good with one of them no longer in it.....

I'm a bit behind 'cos my Sky subscription has run out & I've been watching the repeats on Sky Three (which is a freebie) whereas Sky One requires a sub.

He's still in the ones showing on sky one, but he left after the current series finished filming.

According to some reports Richard Hammond has suffered a "significant brain injury"........ :cry:

But doctors are "reasonably optimistic" that he will make a good recovery.

I am still hoping for the best though.
