Not very posh, I'm afraid, as the correct word for a large, cooked meal taken between 6:00 and 8:00 in the evening is 'Dinner'. 'Tea' is taken between 3:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon and consists of loose-leaf tea, brewed in a china teapot for 3 minutes and served with non-skimmed milk and sugar (if desired) in porcelain teacups with two Rich Tea biscuits perched on the saucer.

And apparently no amount of poncy asparagus will make you as truly 'posh' as an Amstrad CPC owner, even one who eats baked beans and spaghetti letters straight from the tin.

So, to sum up: For maximum poshness drink tea in the afternoon, eat dinner in the evening and buy an Amstrad. Slippers and a gingham dressing gown would probably help too. :)

OneLook Dictionary definitions...

Lunch;

Noun: A midday meal.

Dinner;

Noun: The main meal of the day served in the evening or at midday.

Tea;

Noun: A light midafternoon meal of tea and sandwiches or cakes.

Make of that as you will my friends.
