Playing Super Ghouls n Ghosts on the wiiu just now. Totally frustrating, going back to the start every death. ive played it in the past and keep dying so turn it off. Got to the end of the first level...yes the first level and got killed by a big demon, In temper i squeezed the 4 corner buttons and a "save state" screen appeared. Why havent i seen this before? is this a common thing on wiiu retro stuff? it could have saved me a whole lot of sweat and bile.

Ill be saving very regularly from now anyway.

The usual borefest that is the town carnival.

Every year there is a set of road closures that are revised along with the times.

Googling the town carnival goes to a website that no longer works, searching on twitter shows the local police and bus companies guessing.

absolute farce

I still have no idea what you are talking about. I am not ginger neither have I ever been ginger.

I do find it incredibly weird the way certain people on this forum talk like they know me when in reality we have never even met. Not only is it utterly bizarre, it's also quite creepy.

There was something similar over here last week with hopeless diversion signs. I followed one which stated "road ahead closed, turn left" except the left-turn was also closed for a parade to come down  . Ended up having to use the bottom of somebody's driveway to effect a 3-point-turn in a narrow street and because said driveway was pretty steep and because my front bumper is very low, there was a nasty scraping as they met

Games like Overwatch and League of Legends and the way that some people are obsessed with them. I'm a member of an art website for example and the fan art from these two games alone is relentless - it seems that nobody wants to draw/paint anything else other than pervy Overwatch stuff or that fox girl from LoL. I honestly have no interest in these games and the mass exposure only puts me off even more :|

Well, the forum was a far better place with me as pretty much the only active moderator. Now any thread that discusses the horrors going on in this country in the 'off topic' thread simply get locked.
Used to have a bloody good discussion - but now... The FUTURE is censored. Rubbish way to run a forum.

you seem to be conveniently forgetting your regular censorship in the feedback threads, which are now a barren wasteland compared to the threads of yesteryear, but yes, you are right, the locking of threads that touch on certain subjects is pathetic, very similar to what the Guardian did with their comments section, with disastrous results.

I used to be very good at that game as a kid. I could almost complete it, get to the very last stage. Its funny how good at games you are at 10 and how hopeless you are at age 38.

Its probably got that lag that comes with retro games on modern TVs, it makes games like PunchOut very hard to beat
