What one is it ? I'm tempted to do something similar, looked at Sony soundbars etc and Sonos but cost a fortune, got a 42 inch tv at the mo and theres a Samsung 55 inch for i think about 400-500 which isnt bad. Very tempting, need to sort out the sound stuff nowoldtimer wrote:A new 50"LED HD Smart tv with matching soundbar last week.
Dont get too excited though, is just a cheap supermarket brand but its a lovely picture .

Re: Your Recent 'Other' Purchases
Colour me interested too. We bought a cheap 50" TV a few months back (then got it home and Mrs Ant said we should have got a bigger one once she saw it in place
).
Picture is great, but the speakers are pretty shoddy, sound is just about acceptable now I fiddled with settings but at a decent volume they rattle the case.
Had a soundbar to chuck under the sideboard it sits on in the back of my mind for a bit, but not done any research. Don't want to spend much, but equally don't want another terrible sound quality.
There must be some acceptable budget/mid range stuff that will be good enough for my non-audiophile ears. All I want is something that isn't all bass or treble, a reasonable spread of sound, that won't rattle and distort at a medium volume.

I'm not much of an audiophile but I picked this one up at Christmas:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Goodmans-GDSB04 ... B00DY4KO8W
Less than 40 quid and it provides way better sound than my TV speakers. Good surround sound effect too

You want a great soundbar for a not a massive amount of money. Get yourself a Yamaha YAS 93

The only thing it does not have is Bluetooth which to me is no big issue.

I'll even go as far as saying that one is acceptable

Main box is OK, a lego Ken, Sub-zero plushie, Space Invaders tin moneybox and 2 Tshirts (tron and Pacman).
None of the welcome boxes have come yet though

^^^ Agreed. On a side note, I've always really liked that model of M3. The newer ones don't excite me as much visually.

Tracksuit bottoms, never did I see myself fulfilling the stereotype of my home town and I hate to admit it but they are quite comfy
