Think that was the best celeb/chav inappropriate name i've heard yet. Apologies to anyone on here who has called their kid Shakira too
Ha ha thats quite shocking. Some poor chavvy kid called Shakira. My mate from junior school who i still email occasionally, hes a star wars nut (Hey i like it but not this much) and i swear on my life, his two kids are called Luke and Leia. Cant believe his missus let him ! First kid was called Luke, not a bad name but then Leia ?! Blimey

Just hope my wifes as understanding when i call mine Noel and Liam (And Bonehead if i have a third)

You might get away with Horace. Or if you are planning on having a boy and a girl - Olli and Lissa :)

First of all Congratulations to you and your family! My better half had a baby boy last November (our first). Even though you will loose the following –
• Sleep
• Patience
• Time to yourself
• Loud music
• Gaming time
• Time with your partner
• And many more things I cant think of at the moment
Having a child is a fantastic experience and I’m loving every minute of it (except for the pooh)

You have to be very careful when naming a child as you have to consider –
• Bullying from other children
• Shorter or altered versions of the name (Robert = Rob etc)
• Nicknames
The missus and I agonized over names for ages and we had seemed to pick a name which didn’t fall into any of the above pitfalls only to discover his initials are JWG which is welsh for ‘jug’ I have called him this since to my missus’ chagrin.

As for retro names, how about a name which will have the initials JSW? GTA? COD?
This way you could give him a name which also has a retro meaning.

How about after the SOF2 protagonist Axel? Ummm ...... Zak, of McKracken fame.

Rockford?

Bomb? Or Bombjack to give his full title.

Or if you fancy an old classic name, that is not only related to gaming, then you can't go too far wrong with Darth.

Clive? Has the benefit of being "Evil C" spelt backwards. Instant proper-rock nickname!

Rowland perhaps?

Or maybe some Resident Evil names... Chris, Barry, Albert, Leon...?

You could even name him David after Solid Snake :D

Good job I don't plan on having any kids though. They'd all be named after Final Fantasy characters.

I always thought that would be a good name too! Good job I'm never having kids then...

And @joey, I used to know a girl called Sam Coupe too! Probably not the same one though, think she lives in Bristol.
