There have been problems with the DNS and hosting, we're trying to get it back up right now.

I won't be going back there, not after the appauling news of petty legal threats against one of the most hardworking and dedicated people in the retro scene. The perpetrator(s) should be utterly ashamed of themselves in my opinion. Juding by the responses in the thread before it was locked, I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Seems to be the site now comes up with some russian hosting site or something.

More than a little annoying as I'm trying to get ore nominations for the new season of the gaming league sorted out.

I won't be abandoning the site. Yes, I don't agree with all the legal threats etc, but that's something that should probably never have been on the board anyway. We no doubt aren't getting the full story either. Regardless, its a minor dispute between a minority of members, the vast majority of us just want to make up and get on with it.

The legal matters are settled, and were the work of one individual NOT the whole group.

As for the forum, as I said, it was DNS problems and it SHOULD (touches wood, strokes lucky rabbit's foot, summons up the God of Networks) be sorted now.

Hopefully it'll be back today. The engineers were working on it yesterday and will be today (from the Invision announcements forum):

"The datacenter has been working on Server 13 today. More work will be done tomorrow. Hopefully by then we will be able to pass along more information."

Doesn't sound hopeful to me. Sounds like the stuff our service providers tell us when they haven't got a clue when resolution will occur. If its not up today, there could be manpower issues for days...

I'm having the same problem with RetrObsession, we're hosted on the same server as Retrosurvival and I musy say, being in IT, it's doesn't exactly cast confidence.
