Edit: actually, on reflection - I did speak to someone at RV who was looking at putting on a Summer Event in Swindon. I think the RCGF guys in Aldershot are looking at doing an event in the summer too ...

Well I might of drummed up some interest for some of them on another forum
That one off at the pub down south this weekend might have a visitor from another forum and any possible local Liverpool ones will as well.

We are pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale for Eurocon 2010.

This is an annual event bringing together classic gaming fans from all around Europe. This year's event (the eleventh) will take place from 3rd-5th September 2010 in Manchester at the Lass O'Gowrie pub.

The event will include arcade machines, consoles and computers (all on freeplay) as well as a quiz, competitions, an auction, a display of rare UK machines supplied by the Retro Computer Museum and much more, including some surprises which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets cost £12. All profits will be donated to the Starlight charity.

Full details of the event, and a link to our online booking system, are available at www.eurocon.info

If you have any questions about the event, please contact the main organiser Jon Legg (jonlegg71@googlemail.com or via our Facebook page www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=283912147222&ref=ts)

I just did a google search for laishacollins. I might be wrong but I think this laishacollins user is some kind of Spammer/Spambot, judging by the other forums they have joined and their posts at them and their signature.

Its obvious that this thread is about retro events and not retro games.

http://www.brightredmedia.com/get-in-touch should be ashamed and we should all SPAM them and see how they like it!

Thought that was the case ! 'She' does seem to write some stupid stuff just to get the link out there. On most of the other forums shes on she writes about 3 posts and then seems to join another forum.

I cant believe people use these tactics though, i wouldnt use any company who uses spam to advertise their services. Its like they're using this student to join tons of forums to promote the company

You bet! I'll update the post now.

Must try and make that myself. I'm only down in Leicester, so no excuses.

Say, if you fancy running a Kick Off 2 tourney at R3PLAY in Blackpool this November, let us know, yeah? :D

Excellent news Arcadian! You know...that is a very tempting possibility with regards to the Kick Off 2 event in November. Would it cost any money to exhibit as it were? Very, Very up for this!

With regards to the UK Champs, it'd be great to have you there and if you have any mates into retro gaming then I'm sure they'd have a great time too more the merrier! - bring some leaflets and posters for R3PLAY too and increase the exposure.
