@mohicankid
I think I safely say on behalf of everyone how pleased we were to see you on Sunday and you helped raise a significant amount of money as well!

I'd just like to add my brief thankyou...

I didnt really have much of an idea what to expect when I was on the train over to Sheffield but I was totally blown away by the whole thing. Had a great time and I finally got my hands on a Neo Geo AES.

Well done to everyone involved. It made me happy

Cheers.

 Had forgotten about that, I can get pretty gushing when I've had a few.

Thinking back, I really feel like most of the event passed me by though, I'm sure there were loads of you that I was wanting to put faces to names but I never got round to talking to or never realised who you were. I reckon we should ALL have been wearing t-shirts with our avatars on them!

When I spoke to most people on Saturday lunchtime, it seemed like a lot of you were hungover, sounds like I missed out on some good nights out too.

As for the time I did spend at the event though, it was bloody brilliant with some proper laugh out loud moments, big congrats to all involved. :D

Oh and good to hear that mohicankid made a full recovery & was able to attend on the Sunday, gutted I missed the chance to say hello.

its what ive always loved about sheffield, just drunkenly stumbling around and finding some strange musical happening lol

just stumbling into that room, the noise, the darkness, 2 saxophones, loads of guitar noise, packed, nutters dancing like gibbons, beer
awesome
thats my review of the gig :)

most of our matches could have easily gone either way though!

and you still bested me with your noobular killer instinct skills, knocking me out of the tournament! and we both had to deal with playing them on those horrid retro duo pads, and xbox 360 pads.... :D

A few edited highlights.

I'll sort out an upload of the original high resolution ones later, so you can better zoom/crop/whatever to highlight yourself/friends/kit. Sorry, but my camera isn't the best and I'm no photographer.

On checking in, we were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel had themed things for us. Mohicankid and I were in 'The Binary Room'

exelent summary of the weekend, it was like reading a kids book, you know the ones where you have huge pictures with tons going on on one page and a couple of lines of easy to read text on the other?
any more pic links?

Antiriad2097 wrote:SIR86, a big thanks for letting me do my fanboy bit and signing your game, then going as far as digging out old E3 promo exclusive stuff for it and bringing it in the next day. And then giving me the deal of the weekend on the Virtual Pinball controller - I'm loving that thing (though I'm not so sure Mrs Ant will). You're an absolute gent and it was great to finally chat to you in person.

Really great to meet you in person after all these years. I'm happy to see that Pinball controller get some use after being stuck in the attic for eons
