I don't post many links to my posts here, but my latest update on my book explains why I'm not openly broadcasting the names of everyone I'm talking to: Keeping it low-key

A couple of other recent posts: The evolution of They Were Our Gods has some actual readable content (albeit in a prototype page which might not stay like that).

Also, Nope... still not doing it explains why I'm not following many other projects onto Kickstarter just yet.

I haven't updated here in a while
I put up a post a few weeks back about Japanese Shining Force Cards that came out around the time of the two GameGear games if anyone is interested in such things
http://ontheendofaquill.blogspot.jp/201 ... ading.html
I've been very quiet lately because I've upped sticks and moved to japan!
since I've been here, I've picked up a super famicom and over 100 games, an old style famicom and 20ish games, a Saturn and 30 odd games, and finally a megadrive but only 15 games (they are much harder to come by here!) most of these were dirt cheap, about 100yen each (less than a €1,£1,$1)
my biggest purchase was a famicom disk system for around twenty quid
I will hopefully throw up some vids on my youtube channel soon, but I have a lot of pics on my twitter and google+ if you'd like a look

It's taken a while, but I finally completed the 2nd lot of Gruesome Games...which means I've now looked at over 200 games! I've put links to them all in one handy list so it's easier to find the ones that interest you.... :)

Found an old choose-your-own-adventure style Legend Of Zelda comic in a box, so stuck it on my blog for you to read! If anyone can help by telling me exactly where and when it came from, please leave a comment here or on the blog! :)

I'd guess it was an in-store promotional item, since it features quotes from both NMS and Total, so unlikely to have come with a mag since it advertises competitors.

Total and NMS were eventually both owned by Future publishing after Emap sold NMS to them, so maybe it came after that?

It may well be an in-store promo item though, something which I hadn't really thought about, so thanks! :)

Just a quick wee post to say I found out that the Zelda comic is definitely a free gift with NMS from 1994...not sure which issue exactly, but that's it's origin! ;)

Cool that you found some info on it. I had a quick Google and turned up nothing. I am wrong, a fact my wife insists I never admit

My brother did the old trick of right-clicking and doing "search Google for this image" on a couple of the pages! Turns up more info than a normal google search a lot of the time! :)
