Today I got the quote for the repairs on my bike
About £200, knew it needed a fair bit of fixing but bloody hell, when I get it back it will be running as new

That doesn't sound right to me, admitedly last time I blew about 500 but that was upgraded parts.

Its getting fixed at a local Evans cycles, not cheap, but its the only place local that is both open and not booked up.
Cant get it anywhere right now.
Its including fitting and parts, (Headset, front derailer, fixing he rear derailer mount, truing both wheels, cables, breakpads).
Was tempted to get a new bike, but right now, that's not an option

You could get a decent 2nd one for that tbh, I do get places being booked up as it's not just repairs but building bikes ordered for Christmas.

Today my attempt to get ahead of things failed, I fell asleep around 9ish the previous day and woke up around 4pm groggy as hell so couldn't do the postal run even without the 2 records I had planned to wrap during the day, didn't get all the queued Items listed either and ran out of paper mid wrapping the presents that had arrived (getting it done as money comes along and I'm up to it) so it's a trip to the bargin shops if I can get some funds together to get the stuff I need.

I know I could, but it might either come with its own problems, be nicked or be rubbish

Did laugh when i saw this story....

South Africa's lottery probed as 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 drawn

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-55154525

What are the chances of that ???

The odds of those numbers are just as likely as any other series being drawn, aren't they? People reading a pattern into a coincidence. If you were going to set it up, you wouldn't be daft enough to make it something like this.

Yeah that’s what people were saying in the BBC news thread. I’m still shocked that happened but yeah it’s just as possible as any other sequence. Surprised how many winners there were - 20 I think it was. Surprised at people choosing that sequence.

Im sure I watched/heard some comedy skit where they deliberlty put those numbers on as they knew what was coming out just to get the amount up, but some other people keep winning

I didnt say it was funny
I tend to do the lucky dip, no idea what numbers im gonna get, the max amount of sequential numbers ive had is three.

Anyway
Today, more prop builds, hate waiting for stuff to dry so end up starting something else while it does

Today, doing an online quiz for this years Eurocon, should be fun

I also got a job ring me up, needed to be able to drive so that was out

Edit, the quiz had a few volume issues, but at least it was funny

Anyway

Talking of Smart TV's i do love em ! Got a Samsung and it has apps for UFC, Plex, NFL and loads of others i use. Really handy

Even Sky is pretty good as it has a link to Disney/Netflix, surprisingly not Amazon Prime sadly

Prices are really good, bought a chavvy sized 65 inch - £599 ! Not bad at all, i didnt go for the ultra HD version (£was £999 think £799 now) as my old eyes cant always tell that much of a difference. Amazing TV

So you are not going to be getting the new 14k TV?
The one that people swear has the best image quality ever, despite nothing other than that nature video really supporting it.
Hardily use the Smart features of my TV, Netflix sometimes, ITV player for AEW sometimes.
My PC is permanently connected to it via a long HDMI cable that goes under the carpet (along with a long Ethernet cable for consoles) so all I need to do it go multi screen to watch stuff on it.

Anyway, today
had to order a bike part the other day, couldn't get it posted to the store where the bike is as its moving (They couldn't order it in due to that). The cost of the bike repair has had about £50 knocked off it.
And
More projects, im wondering why im making props that I will probably never use, I did give up alcohol so maybe this is now my vice. Just wish it would take less time to dry

I always like those types that go out and buy such things, then end up watching SD programs like Love island or whatever reality TV program is on (Would say Jeremy Kyle, but thankfully that s**t is long gone)
