Thats the thing, part of it is the whole nostalgia value, playing some arcade classic or some Megadrive game i remember paying £45 for etc. I dont always play them tons but sometimes a quick 5 or 10 minutes here and there to get that nostalgia feeling !

Also its quite good on some emulators saving. I'm determined to finish Sonic as for 25 years or so i've just probably got to level 3 and thats it ! Want to do it all

Yeah being able to save is a great feature to have.

I use RetroArch to emulate the consoles now. Using that, you can link it to a website called RetroAchievements, so you can earn achievements for hundreds of old games, just like you would on a PS4 or XBOX. Breathes a bit more life in to a game youve played a ton of times over the years.

Didn't even know you were getting married, congratulations. Hope you're well for the day and have a great time. My first was rubbish, but the second is one of my best memories.

My condition now means I am now permanently on 2 walking sticks. My ankylosing sponadlitis condition has got to that point where it's threatening my independence. Not on here much anymore but 'Hi!' to those that remember me! :)

Who are you again? ;)

Sorry to hear it's gone so badly. Very young to be in such a bad way :( Not seeing you often, I was surprised how quickly things progressed. First time, you were fine. Then you had restricted movement. Now you're hardly getting around.

Yeah. It sucks! Wish I'd been to an event the last couple of years :(

Are you able to operate a scooter or sit in a wheelchair without too much discomfort?

I had been getting around car events by arranging with club members to assist me, last was a bit of a disaster as we couldnt get the chair to grip on grass but it should be alright with a retro event as they are indoors.

Today I had planned to work on my models and try and figure out selling some stuff off to get some money in while continuing to sort out this ESA mess, insted thanks to my drugs I woke at sometime around 4pm feeling like having been on a bender so its probably going to be a long fun night.

My car's power steering randomly failed this morning. Garage said it would cost more to fix than it's worth so looks like I'm going to have to scrap it and eat a significant loss. Just had it serviced, and had all new brake pads and plates fitted a few months ago aswell. Gutted.

Today, I decided to start posting again, if that's a good or a bad thing I don't know.

A LOT OF STUFF has happened in the past few months
I sold off a lot of my collections.
A lot of games have gone as I don't play them (covered on my Youtube channel)
made a fair bit of cash from that.
A lot of my VHS tapes have gone, don't watch them.
As did most of my vinyl collection
And DVDs

I seem to of have a thing now where the phrase "It would be cool to own" makes me think that it's a waste of money.

Money has gone into projects.

Also I am looking for a new job as working at the Arcade isn't exactly a dream job, all my skills are not used in favour of being the bloke that has to do what nobody else can be arsed to do, for not enough pay.
I've had to stop doing a lot of things as most of the time i'm too tired to do them and the travel is doing my head in.
I'm also doing a lot less events work as I can't get the time off

Anyway
How the bloody smegging hell is everybody?

Welcome back ! As for de-cluttering you've done the right thing ! I used to have tons of books/cds/games just sat there week after week gathering dust, sold it all off and felt better for it. If i played most of them fair enough but nah just sat there doing nothing. Its like you get into some weird OCD collector type of thing where you just like seeing spines on the bookcase of all these games !!

Hope you get your job sorted, sorry if it didnt turn out well for you at Arcade Club.

Yeah it seems to be a place where you either get away with doing sod all or have to do all the work

This seems to be a recurring theme with the jobs you've had. I'm sure there's a common denominator in there somewhere ;)
