Re: Today
Yeah, there's been some talk of that here. Luckily, working boats, we just get a plane to the nearest airport and walk on, helicopter transits almost never happen.

Re: Today
Today been asked to take 7 days Gardening leave fully paid
Starting a new project next week and at a bit of a loose end, problem is I a am just hanging around work till it starts and the team for my last project keep bypassing the new project manager and coming to me and feels it is undermining him. I think he is a little insecure so I am staying out of the way so he can get on with it.

Re: Today
Today I found out the exhaust maker had made a duff exhaust on my order so I'm now stuck for potentially another week with a soggy driving car with a wet fart noise to match.
On the brightside I made another step closer to going back into proper selling again, it won't quite offset the parts bill but might cover a few cold beers to take the edge off it.

Re: Today
Today I took my son to his sports club and we were the only ones there. Last week we did hockey and basketball and i nearly crippled myself competeing against the other parents and kids.
Luckily we played some crazy golf so I didnt go overboard.
The rest of the day will be spent relaxing in preparation for 65 miles of tortuous cycling tomorrow. Tortuous compared to the 57 last weekend. Still , its in the name of fun.

Re: Today
(Yesterday), it got up to around 27-28 degrees. And I had to wear a fecking suit, to a church. For my daughters First Holy Communion.
(I'm not Catholic, and it means nothing to me, but she had a great day with dressing up etc).

Re: Today
I've finally taken the plunge and applied for a new job!
I've been talking myself out of doing this for years, many times I've started an application and then binned it off. It feels good to actually go ahead with it

Re: Today
Found out last week that jobs will be cut at my place.
We should hopefully hear in July who will be going.

Re: Today
The OH had her appointment at the hospital and all looks good.
7 or 8 weeks ago she went in for a heart biopsy which all went a bit wrong and she ended up beign cut open (sternotomy) and having stiches to stop the heat bleeding into the (i want to say but I'm not sure it's right ) aeortic sack.
She even drove in, though is still a bit sore so I parked in the multi story and drove back.

Cheers but I'm hoping that I may be able to get VS as it's being offered in 'phase one' but there hasn't yet been confirmation that people is 'phase two' will be able to get it, me being in two.pratty wrote:Sorry to hear that mate, fingers crossed you'll be safe.
