Hi all, I figured as I've been posting here for a week I should probably introduce myself :)

I'm WhiteSpyderZero, I'm a 26 year old gamer hailing from Wallington, Surrey and I do love retro videogames. I cut my teeth on an Amstrad CPC 6128, then got a NES when I was 8 and never looked back. Actually that's not true, I do look back quite a lot!

I'm proud of my retro setup, all my consoles are connected up to my TV so they all get a good play regularly. My favorite console is the Super Nintendo and my favorite game is Secret of Mana.

When I'm not playing games, I'm writing about them for independant UK gaming blog Controller Throw (http://www.controllerthrow.com) and I also host a podcast named "Controller Throw Presents...Player Two" (http://playertwo.podbean.com) that focuses on videogame music, peppered with retro gaming features.

hi everyone, I was given an 'old computer' a jupiter ace when I was 12, I took it apart and glued the keyboard to my computer studies folder.

I am 35 and this still bothers me to this day

I am a bad person.

Hi everybody,

Read the forums for a while and been a subscriber to rg since mid last year. However, been a reader for a while!

Thought I should make myself known as I will be attending Retrovision for the first time this year. Really looking forward to it! Maybe I should bring along the xbox 1 with tons of emulators???!!!

Heyho,

As you can see I gave myself the title "Best player ever" and of course this title fits very well

I'm not only into retro games, but this is one of my passions in gaming. So, see forward to having a good time here :P

Hello people, been on here a week but just noticed this thread. Over time I have become pretty disillusioned with contemporary gaming and started to play games with less buttons. I love my SNES the most, my N64 and I plan on getting a NES. The Dreamcast will most likely follow the NES if not just for the original Soul Calibur (my favourite fighter) which I have never had the pleasure of playing. I love platformers, RPGs, adventure/actions games and suck at strategy and fighter games (yet I still love fighter games, they're just so cool, even on beginner mode). Thank you for having me!!! :D
Chazz it up!!!

Hi all, just a quick hello. For me its not just about the games, but also buying and restoring 80s computers/earley consoles.Theres nothing more pleasing than a five quid find at a car boot sale and then spending the rest of the day stripping and cleaning its controllers/joypads. :D

Hi all, long time Retro Gamer reader, but was too lazy to join the forums until now. I'm not a "true" retro gamer - I also play a lot of modern games too. I'm mostly an arcade racer, but as far as I know there isn't a magazine called "Arcade Racer" :P . I own a 48K Speccy, 2x Spec+2A, CPC464, CPC 6128, Master System, Mega Drive, Playstation, Dreamcast, Xbox, Wii, and 360, so I'm never far away from a game I want to play. Not sure what else to say, so I'll let someone else have a go now.

Hi everyone!

Long time reader of Retro Gamer and general retrogaming affecionado, I've been meaning to register for a long time but often feel I have nothing much of interest to say in forums! However after recently chatting to a lot of retro bods on Twitter, I decided to take the plunge!

My other half and I both love our retro and are hoping to gather a comprehensive collection. We're just finishing up at uni at the moment but planning our game room when we merge collections! :D We're not doing too bad so far, I'd guess we have about 30 consoles/computers/handhelds at the moment and a decent wedge of games. He particularly likes Japanese imports and my main focus at the moment is building up my Amiga collection, having spent a few months focussing on handhelds. But I love them all!

At uni, I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to do my dissertation on 'Retro Games on the iPod/iPhone/iPad' which has been fantastic! (My survey for it is still open for a few more days - if anyone is interested in voicing an opinion, the link is in my signature!)

R3Play 2010 was one of the best experiences of my life and am looking forwards to this years event - this time hopefully knowing a few faces perhaps! :D

Cheers
Gemma (RetroWench)

Hi guys! Figured I'd sign up for here as I'm on a bit of a retro kick at the moment. Been buying the RG magazine for a few months and I've been pining for my old Amiga which my dad threw into a skip a few years ago :(.

Anyhoo, I got hold of an Amiga emulator and have been reliving the classics from my formative teen years (Cannon Fodder in particular) - I'd love to pick up a real-life Amiga but alasa small flat and an impending wedding mean that I'm short on both space and cash. Between me and my fiancée we've got a decent collection of consoles kicking about the flat though - 360, Wii, PS2, PSone, Megadrive, SNES and a collection of Gameboys (original up to 3DS) - but it just won't feel like a "home" til it's got the good old A1200 set up!

Aside from video games my main vice is comic books. Recently completed a reread of all the Complete Judge Dredd Case Files (15 years worth of comics and something like 5,200 pages) and have subsequently ended up scowling at everyone while jutting out my chin and calling them "creeps".
