Hoy-hoy, been lurking around the forum for a while now, thought I should make an effort to start posting.

Love the whole retro-gamer thing, and its great to be able to write game reviews on the Retrobates site for my Commodore 16, such an undervalued and ignored little thing.

Don’t be gentle with me, cos I won’t be with you…

What's going on guys?

I'm a gamer from across the pond(read: the Atlantic ocean) who has a love for games new and old. Genre-wise I'm a huge fan of fighting games, survival horror, first person shooters, and a myriad of other types. Not really big on sports games, though...or racing, for that matter.

I do some writing over at Racketboy.com, if any of you guys ever visit. A few of the guys there bring up your magazine, so I figured I should give it a look.

All in all, cheers from the states.

So you had a C16! I had one of those too .... excellent machine, often overlooked by many.

I still have mine too (although I don't know what's happened to the box)
I was playing on my only a couple of weeks ago.

I liked Deathrace 16, Kikstart and Bomb Jack the most.

Never played Bomb Jack, wasn't it one of those terrible Elite conversions, might have to load it up on Yape now to find out. Think I played Winter Events and Football Manager more than anything else.

Kickstart used to annoy the f--k out of me, very frustrating.

The conversion of Bomb Jack (which yes, was done by Elite - who done all the other versions for all the other systems) was actually quite good. Better than the C64 version (playability wise) and quite nice looking considering it was shoe-horned into 16K

hello one and all - been lurking for a while - but finally got around to posting.

Been buying the mag for about a year - but thanks to lovely ebay I've not got fullish set. Hopefully be getting a subscription for my xmas present!

Mostly into 8bit nostalgia, Megadrive games and dreamcast - plus the occasional japanese rarity for my handheld collection.

I do not live with my mum.

Hi

Another new user...

I like the mag. I like the feeling of nostalgia that comes with it. I've got a load of old consoles and stuff in the attic. mainly late 80's early 90's stuff. I guess my interest in games was from the Speccy up to pre Playstation era's. i'm not really that interested in modern stuff (although I have recently bought Dead Space which I actually really like).

Anyway, I'm not gonna bang on about it and I'll look forward to reading/replying to posts and whatever people do on internet forums.

Cheers
