Oh fluff, he's found our 'other' home.

Tell them your retro pedigree Marmite-bloke and how you had never even heard of a spectrum until WG made you play 3D Deathchase.
Did know what one was but not as much as you did. Basically did a podcast and invited him and Opa along to talk about the games that got the in to gaming. Might as well of asked them about Holidaying on mars and then i might have had more questions. Anyways i like the look of this place.

I'm Dynamite Dan and I've just jumped off an airship.

My first console was a Vectrex - must have been around 1983. Then I had various Amstrads from 1984 through to 1989.

After that came the PC years from about 1990 - 1995, then I had a Playstation, followed by a PS2, Dreamcast, Gamecube and PS3, plus of course a modern PC.

I have emulaters of all of the 3 8-bits, plus, even though I never had an ST or Amiga in their time, enjoy playing games via emulaters of those two machines too.

I also have a cool collection of the old Nintendo Game & Watch emulaters too :)

Fave games (amongst others) - Elite, Head Over Heels, Dynamite Dan, Marsport, Metroid Prime, Virtua Tennis, Gran Turismo (all of them), World Of Warcraft, Eve Online, Diablo II, Juggernaught, Laser Squad, X-Com, Monty On The Run....and lots lots more !

Hell yeah!

I'm a diehard Amigian too - loved the machine ever since my first A500 back in the day - now I have an extensive Amiga collection:

A500 - 0.5MB, 1.3 KS ROM
A500 - 2MB CHIP, 8MB FAST, 520MB HDD, 1.3 KS ROM
A500+ - 2MB CHIP, 8MB FAST, 520MB HDD, 2.04 KS ROM
A600 - 200MB HDD, 1MB CHIP, 2.05 KS ROM
A1200 - 2MB CHIP, 32MB FAST, 2GB HDD, 3.1 KS ROM, OS 3.9, 68040 card
A1200 - 2MB CHIP, 3.0 KS ROM
A2000 - 1MB CHIP, KS 2.04 ROM - the only NTSC model that I have - has a really early motherboard revision!
CD32 - normal unexpanded thing - 2MB CHIP, 3.1 KS ROM, nothing special

and that's my collection of Amigas - what Amigas do you have Greyfox?

Hi Dynamite Dan - I see you are an Amstrad man..................................

You are fairly lucky in that the other 3 Amstrad users on Earth also use the forum
