Hi folks,
i am Vercingetorix from Germany, almost 40 years old, and i like retro stuff in general.
That means not only classic computer games (i have a still working Amiga 500 and some games), but also Vinyl Records - especially Progressive Rock from the 70's, decorating things from the 80's, and of course TV series and cars from the time when i was a child.
Nice, that there is even a propper subforum for that

Unfortunately I've never seen an issue/copy of Retro Gamer before in my local store/supermarket... :/
WHSmiths sell the magazine.

Hi, I'm Patrick (as you can tell from my Avatar)
Massive Amiga fan and would love to get a collection like I had years ago!
Never really been into modern gaming but do own a 360. Is that retro yet?
Where would be the best place to buy an Amiga at a reasonable price? I know they are on Ebay but there is no way to know if they are any good, so thought there might be some decent retro shops known to forum.members?
Cheers, Patrick

Its funny you know. Back to when Retro gamer first started, it was the playstation 2 and xbox's time to shine and now with the latest issues of the magazine, they are well considered retro now.
A lot happens in 12 years.....

Hi there. I've been into video games (and related stuff - music, toys, monsters, horror/sci-fi/schlock/fantasy films & books, etc.) for over 40 years. My 'frivolous' hobbies and passions keep me young!
Cheers & thanks for having me ~

Time marches on, yep. The PS2 is a fantastic machine with a stellar library. My wife and I are both huge fans, we've got hundreds of games with more being added on the regular.

I avidly collected for many years, beginning in the late 70s. At one point (in my early 30s) I had several
rooms filled with stuff as well as a rented storage unit, heh.
I became aware of emulation a few years ago (though I still stink at the 'tech end' of it all & require help) and that was pretty much the final nail in the coffin for my various collections. I no longer saw the point - now being able to enjoy entire console
libraries via the PSP - so I began to slowly swap/sell/gift away my empire, 'blessing' family & friends with the occasional desired treat(s).
I've still got some stuff around, though.....mainly things that I don't care to part with along with some spare goodies awaiting new homes....

I'm
miqrojamie. I found the magazine in WHSmiths in late July 2017 when me and my dad were at the coffee corner area at the top, and I decided to buy the latest issue of the magazine and the 2017 annual. I absolutely love your coverage of retro games and the fact that there is even a section for homebrew games
I'm into retro games since I was very young and also into computing at around the same time. I write a blog since yesterday about said subjects. My favourite consoles and games are... I honestly don't know, there are so many good ones to pick that I couldn't possibly have a favourite! ^^
