Watched The chase the other night, not the game show but the 90's Charlie Sheen movie and it was alright and thats not because I'm biased to BMW.
I've got Virus recorded but last few nights I've not really felt like settling to watch it.

Watched Stranger Things 3 last week. Back on form after the decent, but not as good as the first, season 2. Season 3 seemed less of a quick rehash, as if it had more thought put into it.

Zootropolis- Its wired, I thought this was how the Detective Pikachu movie would turn out (A decent mystery, a world build around those magical creatures, etc.) but was left down that it didnt do enough with the idea. Zootropolis had a much less obvious mystery, a more colourful and imaginative world for all the animal people, and I enjoyed it a lot more. A bit preachy with its message but with all the race hate crime on the rise these days, its message is kinda needed more today than when first released.
Also, can we have this Disney back soon please? Getting tired of seeing these live action remakes and sequels they're putting out.

Lion King 'live' movie at cinema with my son, technically stunning but not sure if it needed to be re-made.

I enjoyed Yesterday. It's obviously good as Beatles homage, but also works as a humorous critique of the music industry and the obstacles it places in the way even of musicians who really do have some world class material to call upon. There's some laugh-out-loud comedy too.
On the downside Ed Sheeran seemed very wooden and a bit superfluous, and it rarely explores the consequences of a world that never had The Beatles. A couple of moments where it did suggests that they missed the chance to make something truly profound out of it. Still, it's worth a watch especially if you like the music.

Dumbo (2019)
Very bland for Tim Burton, great work by Danny DeVito though

The Mrs had me take her to the Cinema for it as she's a full Burton nut, pretty much thought the same, you can see his mark though and more of his new favorite actress.
Finally watched Virus, remember it freaking me out as a kid but I think SyFy cut it about a bit, never realised it was originally Comic either and on that subject I also finally watched Punisher Warzone in full, the Thomas Jane one works more in the real world but you can definately see this is more to the comics style.

Dumbo I get, it wasn't very good as a kid, but you don't like Toy Story?

The Accountant with Ben affleck, enjoyable action thriller, worth a watch if you enjoyed the likes of The Equalizer or John Wick.
I'm pretty indifferent to things like Toy Story myself, I can take or leave most of these children-aimed animated movies, I've enjoyed some that i've seen but none of them strike me as must-watch.Antiriad2097 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 11:36 amDumbo I get, it wasn't very good as a kid, but you don't like Toy Story?![]()

I thought Dumbo was OK. It's obviously nowhere near Burton's best but, for a Disney film, I thought it had a few interesting things to say about the history of the company, their theme parks and its founder.

Watched 'Skin'. Jamie Bell as some skinhead who then tries to leave. Based on a true story, not bad at all
Finished watching Stranger Things Season 1 finally. Was good but because i heard so much hype about it from people i was a bit let down

Forgotten. An excellent, twisty South Korean thriller, kept me glued to the screen the whole time.

Started watching Black Sails for research on a kit build and I love it.
It's got action, explosions, crass humour and full frontal nudity
