Jurassic world. Enjoyed, nonsense of course but good fun.
Ant man and the wasp. Enormous fun.
Downfall. A laugh riot as ever.

SHARKNADO 6 was a load of cheesy fun, i laughed a lot at it, those wacky sharks
NO ESCAPE - a fun romp through a beautiful south east asian country and laffs aplenty too
but really it's TERRIFYING!!!
DADS ARMY - liked it a lot and perfectly felt like the tv series with gentle comedy and the main actors fit their personas well
THOR THE DARK WORLD - finally got round to watching the post new york smashing avengers movie, with a slightly dour event movie with the big hammer thrower, nice designs for the dark elf fighters and very funny at the big fight at the end as mjolnir trying to decide where to go, pity malakeith
was the dour part! scenes could have been switched or not be there at all like when heimdall sensed the dark elf ship at the bridge, but they showed the damn thing right before that, although him running down the rainbow bridge and him stabbing the ship was fun
other than that, the last of THE 100 .....

I just watched Thor Ragnarok and Justice League. Thor was great, probably the best film in the series. Lots of humour and great fun. I saw a film called Planet Hulk a few years back and Thor Ragnarok is basically a re-working of that.
I didn't like Justice League that much at all. I think they really misfired with that one. Nothing really works in it, even the overall plot barely held my interest.

Equalizer 2
A bit by the numbers. Denzil was good as ever but a really bland and obvious bad guy. But as far as revenge fantasy films go, was ok

Saw The Meg. Didn't rate it. It played it far too safe. There was barely any carnage. The shark barely does anything.
It felt like it had been censored. A bit like the first Resident Evil film. Turning away to avoid any gore.
Watched Ghost Stories last night. A UK horror portmanteau. Bad acting and cliched scares utterly ruin it.

Yeah. The Meg was Dumb. Saw the Belkow experiment. Pretty good Battle Royale in an office horror thing. Only way I can describe it!
Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?
Mamma Mia - great fun, and Meryl Streep really throws herself into the role of Donna.
But then
Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again - no Meryl for most of the film? Seems strange, unless there was a reason she was unavailable. Still, it's a clever sequel, looking back at a young Donna and forward to what Sophie does with the hotel. Great cameo from Cher, a touch sentimental in places but still fun.

Raiders of the Lost Ark. Absolutely years since I've seen it, but still as good. The nunchuck/coathanger scene is still as memorsble!

Revenge. Essentially a semi foreign language low budget retread of I Spit on Your Grave. The odd flakey acting moment and it does take a little while to get going. There are some utterly ridiculous elements. All that said, it wasn't terrible, I've seen much worse. Not one to actively avoid, but not one to seek out either.
Rampage. Only vaguely connected to the game, but lots of action, some laughs, and enjoyable performances. We liked it so much I've sought out some of The Rock's past movies we've missed. Reminded me of Battleships, with a seemingly terrible licence turning out a fun movie.
