Watched The Martian yesterday. Pretty decent film, although being directed by Ridley Scott, I thought there may be extra terrestrials show up at some point.

i've been watching the new Walking Dead (think a new one is on tonight) - its ok, its been "ok" for a couple of seasons nows, and fairly predictable and like a soap-opera. Sticking to the zombie theme, I was glad to see the french drama "The Returned" is back for its second series after quite an absence. First episode of this series was a bit slow, but hopefully should be quite good like the first series. Much better than the crappy north american remake which really wasn't necessary unless you are blind or can't read subtitles.

Monsters University. It had it's moments but really the most fun came from just seeing Mike & Sulley again, the actual plot and jokes were largely forgettable. A rare miss from Pixar :(

"The Truth is Out There!" - or not! Namely, that it's cr@p! @Dprinny - Maybe the revival will be better?

Anyway, last night I watched Lovelace. It's a biopic of the former porn star Linda Lovelace(of Deep Throat fame). Interesting tale - nothing spectacular though.

Watched Sherry Baby with Maggie Gyllenhaal. The movie was boring as hell but she's constantly getting her baps out and getting nailed and at one point is rolling round on a bed in just a skimpy pair of see through knickers getting nailed by Danny Trejo.
Really good movie... really good. :D

Just tried to watch something called Inherent Vice. Got around three quarters of the way through while almost nodding off a few times. No idea what the hell was going on and couldn't keep track of the plot/characters at all :| . Is it just some artsy thing that I'm too thick to comprehend? Wasted my evening anyway. Another DVD for the metaphorical bin I suppose.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Pay the Ghost - Nicholas Cage in yet another crap film!

Shark Lake - Dolph Lungren does Jaws (sort of) complete with atrocious CGI.

Predestination - had this for over a year but just got round to watching it. I'm not going to pretend I fully comprehended what I watched but I thought it was excellent! :?

:D yes I know what you mean, thought the latest episode was more like a season finale, wasn't expecting that at all, had a drink and lie down after it had finished!

Dont read if you havent seen the Walking Dead episode....

Wow what an episode. Thought the episode last week was quite dull as it was mostly getting the zombies away from their base. This episode was brilliant, probably the most violent blood thirsty episode ever. Roll on next week

I've watched them from start to finish, and although its still reasonably entertaining, its slipped a little bit in standards and lost its novelty factor (as much as zombies can have novelty in the 21st century). Its still watchable, and will never win awards for originality, acting prowess or storylines, but I do wonder when it will conclude - as its already beginning to feel like a soap opera (not quite Aaron Spelling). Its certainly a great show for British actors (we must be cheap compared to local americans!)

I'm finding The Returned (original french version, not the sh*te american remake) to have a fresher feel to it. Perhaps because its not got that predictable corny american production feel to it and a different cultural feel.

Well i'm up to date on the graphic novel so theres a lot more to come including one of the nastiest characters ever (well certainly in the comic book series) so i hope they copy the later stories

Just finished season 1 of Z Nation which i've enjoyed, not as good as walking dead but a bit different, doesnt take itself too seriously, looking forward to the next season now
