Shin Godzilla- A little too much "Japanese Government tries to discuss how to stop Godzilla" talk scenes for my taste, but the Godzilla parts were good at least.

The Post. Was a bit bored so popped to the local cinema today (on half term) for a bit of cerebral watching. Some genuinely worrying if a bit obvious parallels with Trumps 'fake media' attacks. Good performances but took a while to get going.

Hyperdrive on DVD.
Starring Nick Frost (Spaced, Hot Fuzz) as Commander Michael Henderson of the spaceship HMS Camden Lock, protecting Britain's interests in the galaxy. Which includes encouraging tourism and selling space in the Peterborough Business Zone.

Great support from Kevin Eldon as trigger-happy First Officer York, Miranda Hart as Diplomatic Officer Teal (who has a crush on the commander) and Dan Antopolski (engineering officer Jeffers).

The critically acclaimed cult classic Freaks and Geeks.

It was decent enough.

Bojack Horseman season four.

Well, the last two episodes anyway. Actually watched the rest a while back but it was quite a hard going season and I was never in the mood to finish it off until today.

Definitely recommend it though.

The Overnighters.

A US documentary about a Pastor who welcomes people from out of town who are looking for work in a small town. He allows for them to sleep at the Church which puts him against the locals. Saying anything else would spoil it but it is definitely worth a watch.

When We First Met (Netflix original)

Noah (Adam Devine) falls in love with Avery at a Halloween party, but she likes him as a friend - then she meets Ethan the next day, and three years later Noah gets to attend Avery and Ethan's engagement party. A drunk Noah confesses to Avery's friend Carrie that he loves Avery - and a magic photo booth gives him a second chance, sending him three years back in time. Groundhog Day meets About Time, a fun little rom-com.

Early Man (PG)

Nick Park and Aardman take us back to the Stone Age, where Doug's tribe is evicted from the idyllic valley they hunt rabbits in. The invading tribe have discovered bronze, so Doug challenges the champion football team Real Bronzio for the right to return to the valley. A classic against the odds sports movie in plasticine, with some very funny gags.

Saw the trailer for this a couple of days ago but was still on the fence about it. Shall give it a try on your recommendation

Black Panther. Very good. Very much it's own film.

Finished the Punisher on Netflix. Thankfully a big improvement over Iron Fist (which wouldn't have been hard)

I seem to be in the minority but I liked Iron Fist.

Watched Orphan Black season four. Been a while since watched season three so took a couple of episodes to remember what had happened. Really enjoy this series.

We watched episode 1 of Iron Fist last night. So far he's just a weird stalker tramp with a penchant for breaking and entering, an odd start.

1st episode of Z Nation. Won't be watching more of these, was pretty poor with some awful acting, though to be expected from Asylum.

Tried 4 Eps of Altererd Carbon on Netflix - wasn't for me - only so much dystopian SF one brain can hold and I think I'm full.

Hotel Transylvania 2

Like the first one, slightly OK and amusing and that's about it.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season three.

Still really enjoy watching it even with this season getting rather dark.

Some Brooklyn 99 series 5. First episode was really dark for a comedy. Picking off Black Mirror season 4 when in the mood for one.
