I think Rome is the most brutal show I have ever watched. Amazing though!
Yeah, I really enjoyed Rome.

The Raid 2  :D
Exactly what my reaction was. The battle with the deaf girl was my favorite part and it was even better than the original which too was brilliant!! If you want an action film with the works and is rather long then you need to buy this as its one of those films where the time flies by so quickly as you are having so much fun!!

You ever watch Spartacus?
First season is very good, and so is the second. Third is very silly. Spartacus has gratuitous over the top violence whereas Rome is more gritty and realistic.

To be fair he does have a couple of good films in Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer. Punch-Drunk Love is supposed to be good as well where he plays a more serious role. I remember he received really good reviews for that one.
Punch-Drunk Love is in my top 5 most loved films of all time at number 2 spot. He does prove himself in this flick and he is an absolute riot!

I watched Dunkirk on Saturday night. Easily the best Christopher Nolan film I've seen for a while, but it makes for some tough viewing at times.
I've also just finished the first season of Ozark on Netflix which was generally excellent.

Yeah I really enjoyed it. It's actually pretty engrossing, the story isn't bad at all, and of course the action is top notch. As you say, despite the surprisingly long length it does fly by and never get's boring.

It is a film that I've always fancied watching but never gotten round to. Don't think I've ever noticed it being on TV here and very rarely see it on DVD.

Spy

Starring Melissa McCarthy as a desk jockey who goes out in the field. Only watched it as had heard that Jason Statham is really funny in it and happy to admit that laughed quite a lot. Wasn't expecting anything of it and really enjoyed it.

Broken - A great tv series about a catholic priest with a very troubled conscious. Its very well made, this poor bastard was abused as a child by a priest. He has people telling him in confession they want to kill themselves and he has to live with himself when he fails to stops them. At one stage he confronts the priest who molested him and he was not ashamed at all and instead said he must had enjoyed it.
Don't miss this, it is quietly devastating.

started watching "mr nice" the other night, it's pretty good so far. I have heard a lot about the book in the past that it's kind of based on, apparently a bit of a classic.
