Rogue One - actually quite enjoyed - enough nods to other films but a good strong film - don't think its better or worse than Force Awakens , its as entertaining as I could hope for.
Fantastic Beasts.... - Fits well into the world but something bugged me. American setting - with everything we've seen before being so very british it was a departure , the allegory of the Yanks pushing in and killing without understanding worked well though.Kind of annoyed me but its not a game breaker. Eddie Redmayne has a strange posture and way of talking that actually worked well for this.
Secret Life of Pets - So-so animation from those responsible for Minions and the upcoming mega-(s)hit Sing!. Apart from the Thrash metal poodle , very little redeeming story and few characters worth mentioning.Won't bother with this again.
Yonderland - Season 2 , on catch up. We love Horrible Histories so this seemed a logical step. Slightly naughtier than HH but retains the silliness we know and love from the team. Surprised they havent done something more mature yet.

10 Cloverfield Lane - a really tense thriller with John Goodman giving an excellent performance(I suppose we underestimate him as an actor). Probably shouldn't give too much away about the plot, as that would spoil it. I did enjoy it. I suppose though, don't sort of view it as connecting with Cloverfield as such.

The Final Girls - A slasher/comedy in the vain of Tucker and Dale vs Evil but due to a PG-13 rating not as funny or gory as that. Was worth a watch as was slightly amusing in places.

Watched the first episode of series two of Episodes. Watched the first series when it first aired and thought it was OK, thought this episode was only OK so not going to bother with the rest.

Also watched the first three episodes of Schitts Creek. It can be funny but just feels like it is lacking something. Might give it another couple of episodes.

Batman versus Superman - hmmm, it's a bit ponderous. I sort of can't see what message the film is trying to convey - unless, it's about vigilantism? At best it was just about alright - but, not one of the better superhero films. I don't think that I would re-watch it.

John carpenters prince of darkness. Just received the US version on bluray on the scream factory label. Fantastic job they have done on the picture.

To me a very much underrated classic.

Watched a series on Netflix called The OA which was pretty entertaining. If a little hard to get past a bit of interpretive dance. :o
Watched Westworld over Christmas, and some obvious plot holes aside I really loved it.
Tried watching Black Sails from series 1, but it just wasn't very good... :? I really wanted it to be.
And now just started The Young Pope, but not got very far. So far so good though.

Also finally watched a load of films, most of which I hadn't seen before. Mad Max Fury Road, Deadpool, Jurassic World, The Imitation Game, Bridesmaids, and some others that I forgot already
And went to the cinema a couple of times, saw Rogue One, really enjoyed it. Fantastic Beasts, also really enjoyed it, Moana with the kids, was good fun, colourful, etc
