Actually, I'm Andrew, I only use Andy online. Because I was born on Christmas day, everyone was expecting my parents to give me a really religious sounding name. Andrew was the result to combat that line of thought.
Although Andrew was one of the Disciples.
Of this I am aware, except I think everyone was expecting me to be named Jesus or something... ;)
I'm an Andrew too, although only my parents and brothers call me that, to most other people I'm an Andy. In fact, me and my 2 brothers were all named after disciples (Simon and Peter being the other 2)

I went to school with a "Lee" who, rumour has it, was named after Lee Majors of "6 million dollar man" and "Fall Guy" fame! :?

What!? That's a cracking song!!! In fact, has that been mentioned in the "Power Ballads" thread yet!? 8)

Stephen here, although Steve is fine, I've been told in the past that I could have been an Albert though.

Mine is Adam, although a lot of people call me Ad or Adz.

I'm giving consideration to changing my name to something a bit more distinctive though. Current front runners are Officer McVengeance (with Officer being my first name) or Baron Kickass von Coolstein. :D

Christopher, although everyone except my mum calls me CJ......and my little 2 year old niece who calls me Tish!. :D

Not really sure how I ended up with my name TBH. My Dad maintains he always wanted me to be a Gareth (because he's Welsh I suppose), and there have been never been any other Christophers in the family that I'm aware of.

Rob, short for Robert but I pretty much never use the full shebang at all these days, unless it's something uber official. My Mum calls me Robbie sometimes and a few other people picked that up, but I mainly had about a million different renditions of my surname for nicknames at school.

No idea why Robert was chosen, but I luckily dodged the inevitable Polish name which my brother got 2 years previously - he still gets letters to 'Miss/Ms. Jan'. :D

No offence to anyone who has the name, but I have never met a sane Colin. Every single one I have been in contact with has been a potential serial killer.
