It was very good. Marginally better than Casino Royale and much better than every Pierce Brosnan one bar Goldenye.

And the car chase at the start was the best pre-title sequence in a Bond film in decades .

Just back from watching it.

Enjoyed it... Not amazing but good entertainment.

Theme music wasn't up to much. A test of a true Bond song is that you can remember it for some time to come. I can't even remember it now 3 hours later so it must have been rubbish.

It wasn't as bad as what I thought it could have been. For me though it just wasn't a Bond film. More like the Bourne meets Tombraider for my liking. The gun barrel sequence at the end? What was that all about? Judy Dench is not a patch on the original M - she's acts like Bonds mother! No gadgets given or Q. No more John Barry, no more sexist comments - Bond was a man's fantasy film and now they are trying to make it appeal to women by making it too PC. Daniel Craig's Bond is like Connery but without a sense of humor in this one. Roger Moore was the best Bond!!!

When Cubby/Saltzman/Desmond passed away they should have ended Bond there and then. The fomulae now is just not the same. Austin Powers was the last great Bond film I saw!

Well, you can't break from formula unless you, er, break from formula. That's the whole point of the new Bonds. They were getting very samey.
I can see the anger at them "not being retro", but the earlier films are still there, they're not changing.

I really enjoyed it actually, fantastic. More like a spy movie when it is actually credible. Invisible cars can f*ck right off.

It is kind of a shame John Cleese didn't get to really flex as Q, I'm sure he'll turn up eventually.

Saw it on tuesday with a mate, and I have to agree that it's not the best bond movie. It wasn't bad, but after seeing Casino Royale I expected to see better. Daniel Craig and Judi Dench both delivered superb performances, but the story sucked and the action was indeed very bourne-ish. If they're gonna do another bond movie, then the writers need to gather some fresh ideas pronto.
