Fanzine Fun

If I produced a full 32 page colour retro fanzine (totally non-commercial) printed on good quality paper, would people pay £4 for it?

The £4 covers the cost of printing it - there would be abolutely no profit my side and the writers would have to issue content for the love of it.

Can it have Sinclair C5s in it? It would need a C5 reference on every page and the cover needs to have a nice big photo of a C5 with Sam Fox/Maria Whittaker* sitting in the driving seat wearing a nice gold bikini/nothing at all*

Actually, the RF mags were great so I'd certainly be interested in buying and maybe contributing to this. :D

Depends what content there is - I'm not overly concerned with 8 bit coverage. However I'd probably buy it anyway (i've done a couple of fanzines before and always like to support it).

Depending on the feedback on here it might be worth looking at cheaper printing options - the fanzines i was involved with sold for a pound, but were still perfectly presentable, A4 pages (Though b&w & poorer quality paper)

I'd be interested, but as mentioned before it would depend on the content, i.e. I wouldn't buy it if there was only 8-bit content (In the same way I wouldn't buy RG itself were that to have the same thing), but as long as you have a nice mix of stuff I'd buy one.

Could always try lulu.com

A 40 page black and white book (colour covers) is £3.02 on lulu, you get away from all the printing/posting hassle and people can pay via paypal and get it delivered.

Could be much easier ?

Well, if Boyo isn't making any money either way, I'd prefer a 32-page colour mag to a 40-page B&W one. (Needs less content then as well)

Duh just saw boyo mentioned it was full colour ! Doh !

Sounds good then 32 pages full colour for 4 quid, decent price.

I delete Sam Fox seeing as she bats for the other side now.
I'd still like the gold bikini on Maria though please.

Has anyone seen what she looks like these days? She could be rough now...

Anyway, I'd buy the fanzine and would happily contribute too if required.
