Michael Collins - the Pete Best of the US Space Programme :D

But why does the moon look bigger when it's near the horizon?

Have you read anything about these flimsy suits? Or do they just look kind of flimsy to you.
And if you're going to pick on a bit, that's the single daftest one to do so, since no-one debates they've done space walks both before and since that would obviously have encountered the exact same problems.

Heres the proof......

This picture is taken from a 1909 movie, and this movie is so much more believable than the 1969 footage they made...

On a more serious note, I don't know where all this "don't believe the truth" BS comes from... Not being gullible doesn't mean being paranoid...
Yes, Neil Armstrong did land on the moon... though they probably wouldn't have if it weren't for the Russians.

'U don't think we landed on the moon, why not tell Louis Armstrong to his face'

That made me lol.

All i know is the space race gave us the Speccy and C64 in the 80's. If there had been no space race or WWII for that matter we would only be getting Speccy and C64 now...

Wait... Ah sh*t why did there have to be a space race.!!!!

I think you'll find that it's conservation of angular momentum. Conspiracy nuts'll have try to have you believe anything!

Look at that horizon. Does it look round to you?

Reading about this kinda stuff is always interesting, my brain can't get past one simple point though. As it's been mentioned previously, the whole thing was one big pising match with the Ruskies, so if the Americans DIDN'T land on the moon, surely rather than lose the Russians would've happily told the entire world it was fake???

Totally agree, its like 9/11, if Bin Laden didnt do it hes clever enough to know the uproar/anger it would cause if he said the government were behind it etc.

If the US did 'fake' the moon landings you know for sure Russia would have gone on about that.

But as always 'joe public' has the knowledge (and a mouse to click on news articles) and seems to know much more than anyone else !
