I get to the car boot when it opens, there are probably about 8-10 people i see every week that buy the same stuff as me, so whoever gets there first gets it. I don't buy everything I see, only the stuff I want for my collection or stuff that is worth buying to sell on. That way I can build my collection up at a low cost. I talk to the other buyers and out of them only 1 is a collector like me, the others all buy to sell whatever they get.

When I go to car boots I always pick up the stuff either worth keeping or selling on as well.
If its an older retro game (anything older than PS2, Xbox original or gamecube) thats worth a decent amount of money I'll keep it unless I've already got it in which case it'll be sold on.
I tend to sell Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles on quite quickly as I've got modded versions of both consoles.

If you want rid of that Sensi Soccer I could do you a favour and give it a new home

Re: What did you buy at the carboot today ??
First big one in Seaford, beautiful day with glorious sun, loads of cars/stalls, it was looking good.....But...this must have been the first boot I've ever been to totally devoid of anything gaming related, not even a ropey old PS2 footy game to found
I picked up a few DVDs for 50p each though, Superman 1to4 box set, Star Wars ep1, ET(2disc edition), Trainspotting(2disc ed) and Prince The Hits/Bsides (3CD set) for £1.
Oh and a brand new BBQ for a tenner, so was happy when I left

Its the only way now to get retro stuff at a great price. 99% of my collection of 94 consoles and over 1000 games is from car boot sales.

There must be a concentration of good ones around Crawley then.
Never see anything much at the ones down my way.

I am surprised so much appears at the bootsales in Crawley, there used to be so many trade in shops in town, not sure if there still are, but you would have thought most stuff would have gone to those.
