Help me plan a retro event in Stoke (Midlands) for 2009

Post by witchfinder » Tue Jul 22, 2008 9:50 am

All that fun at Fusion has reaffirmed my desire to put on my own gaming event, so striking while the iron is hot, please let me know what you'd like to see/do at such an event by completing the foillowing survey:

http://www.kwiksurveys.com/online-surve ... L_846580fc

It should only take a few minutes. I'll post this link at a few other forums but if you could pass it on to any friends you have that you think would be interested, I'd appreciate it! :D

BTW, I'm not trying to steal the thunder from ZeroCipher's thread, so please continue to post your thoughts on his topic, and I'll happily pass any feedback I get on to him to use in his planning too...

I sort of do... I've done small-scale events for 10-20 people for the last 2 years and also organised my department's Xmas party last year which was gaming-themed with around 40-50 people...

Doing something for the general public however is a bit more daunting! :D

Questionnaire filled in!

As I've probably said to you before, witchfinder, I'm more than happy to attend an event like this. It's the only really good opportunity for me to play games with like-minded people.

Let me know nearer the time, anything I can do to help!

Filled in questionnaire and would happily attend. My only real issue is transport as I don't have a car. This also means I can't easily bring any equipment...

To me your biggest issue will be getting people to commit to it. You'll need to set a date as soon as possible and keep the profile of the event up throughout the year.

I have a plan, don't worry! Step 1 is get the surveys in to gauge interest and see what people think is most important, step 2 is to find a suitable venue, after which I can announce the date and start working on getting everything together...
