Today, once more, I watched the 2005 version of War Of The Worlds (with Tom Cruise) on Blu-ray.

I originally saw it in the cinema and, although obviously much different from the classic H G Wells novel, it is by far my favourite adaptation to date. Plus, the Martian Fighting Machines look great!

Curse of not being in the North, I have to go all by myself

Cleared Loki and finally watched Ed Wood years late, odd movie made amusing by the fact it was sort of true to life, same with when I rewatched the Monuments Men (the Murray connection was purely coincidental.
Watching you sleep since 1990

"Wish dragon" on Netflix

The lack of imaginative title kinda gives away how good the film is.
Its a film thats a bit obvious with its story

Triple threat
All these Indonesian action films are getting rather samey, but like with some of Chans 80s/90s films if its a good formula why change?
Its always nice to see an action film that isnt CG almost every minute

Dynasty Warriors
In one way its a very fateful video game movie.
It hits all the points of the games with the generals basically t**ting mass armies
Some of the one on one fights got a bit mental and seemed to go a bit OTT with the FX's and it started going all Dragonball Z
The GC looked a bit naff at times
The kinda ok dub suits it, the games are always a bit hammy
Also LuBu was a bit skinny, hes supposed to be this big guy thats feared by everyone

Three Kingdoms got the battles spot on...........

Gintama the film
In some ways its a spot on adaptation of the anime, complete with the using other series things and beeping out the name,
Some of the (urgh) CG looks a bit bad and low budget, but in the series sometimes the characters complain about the budget of the animation

My only complaint was that it felt a bit short, needed padding out a bit. I do enjoy it though.

First two series of SWAT on Netflix. Decent budget for a TV show based on a movie, good cast with some interesting storylines too. Just gotta figure out how I'm going to watch the next 2 series now.
