I skived a fair amount at school. Asides from what I've mentioned elsewhere (pretending to be sick so I could play games), we used to have double PE every Tuesday afternoon....I always opted to do swimming because the school swimming pool was right by the back gates....and promptly went straight through them and home early for the day. Surprisingly, I ended up with a 'C' for PE on my report, the guy who did swimming wasn't the regular PE teacher (who would have realised I wasn't there) so I don't even think he knew what I looked like.

I also skived off double English for a while every Friday morning, I got away with it for about 6 weeks until the teacher came storming downstairs to the common room on a tip off, and caught me in the middle of a heated game of 7 Card Rummy with a couple of my mates.....it was just like a scene from 'Skool Daze' (he even looked a bit like Mr Creak) as he started screaming about how many lines I had and herded me back to the classroom for a bollocking

I left school for good shortly afterwards.

Here's one from my days of junior school where I was the porn baron.

After discovering a large plastic white bag on top of a cupboard in my parent's bedroom, I looked inside to see lots of magazines featuring of lots of women wearing very little.

Having had my interest piqued, the topic was raised with a select few friends in class about my find and it was agreed that a few should be brought in for further examination. While under the cover of various comic annuals the magazines were giving a through viewing and the consenous was that more mags should be seen which I did. The dinner ladies thought it strange that we were inside reading on a sunny day when everyone was outside playing but let it pass.

My downfall came when I got too greedy and got found out with a collection with which David Gold would be impressed by and a meeting with the headmistress was swiftly arranged. At the meeting with my parents in attendance, she couldn't understand what the fascination in the mags were and let me off with a stern admonishment which was nothing in comparison to what my parents did to me.

Still, no regrets about what I did and in future Dad's art literature were more carefully hidden.

video-gamer-girl, my worst thing is kind of like yours, I had been making a firecracker, by the time I had completed it, it was a huge, potato, shaped grenade. I got 2 of my mates to come with me and watch, filmed us going round all of town, trying to set it off, one of my mates and I agreed to go home after a last shot, my other friend volenteered, he threw it as hard as he could at the school wall and omg. It was the loudest thing I had ever heard, it happened all so fast, it made a huge sparky explosion and then smoke filled the area, spiralling into the ground, half of the firecracker landed on the ground, the other was blown into the air, higher than the roof, and believe me it is a tall building, I very quickly closed my camcorder, oh yeah i was filming at the time, grabbed some hot shrapnel and legged it. One of my mates had already ran a mile while me and my other mate ran on and discussed how scary it was, we had to shout as our ears were ringing at the time, when we got home we uploaded the video of it onto my computer and watched it, then we slowed it down, omg i couldnt believe it is was like a grenade, crazy, pyromaniac stuff I tell you!

In 1991, a few of us "broke into" the clock tower in Wigan College. (When I say "broke into", we just pushed the door and it opened.)

We changed all of the clock faces to say different times, in the hope that people driving into Wigan would think they were late for work, and people leaving Wigan at the end of the day would think they left work too early.

It took hours of planning to decide on what time to set everything, and it probably affected so few people.

Fab waste of time!

My mate used to live next door to a great pub. But then McDonalds bought it and turned it into a drive thru.

So one night we went over there and saw 2 big banners advertising jobs and cheap nuggets. Boosted him up and we pulled em down and stole them. Got em back home and then decided to send a ransom note.

So we dug out some papers and cut out the letters for this really menacing letter demanding 100 cheeseburgers and to show we meant business cut the corner off one to prove we would stop at nothing. Even wore gloves for "forensic means"

Headed back over there and stapled it to the door.

For some reason we thought it best to add another mates phone number to it so the next day he got a call from the police threatening him with action if he did not return the 500 quid banners. He went mad at us despite us trying to deny it "so someone else, not you, who lives next door, stole the stuff, left a note with my name on it?.....LYING twonks!!"

A couple of days later they installed a massive cctv system in the car park haha

When i was about seventeen (1987) i got a job washing cars at the local garage. After a while they started letting me do some minor work on the cars such as servicing and stripping interior for bodywork repairs etc. One day one of the time served blokes instructed me to jack the front end of a Merc up so that he could do something or other to the engine, however the car had been parked underneath a hydraulic ramp which was raised up and had another car sat on top of it.
Without realising that there was a jacking distance of approximately 2 ft between the top of the Merc and the underside of the ramp, i wheeled the trolley jack under the front end and started jacking away (a-hem). For some reason my eyes were fixed on the lower section of the Merc and not it's roof, until i heard the crushing sound of metal that is! To my horror i realised that i had jacked the car up against the ramp and crushed the bloody roof!!! I looked around the garage, quickly considered my options, (a) should i lower the jack a bit and deny doing the damage? (b) say that the jack started to work on it's own, (c) actually own up to my mistake and take the flak.
Instead, i collected my coat and went home and didn't give it another thought, until three or four days later when i popped into the office for my monthly paid wages. The wage packet was duly handed over by a chap who did the accounts and off i went, chalking this one up as another lesson on the learning curve.

in science lessons when we had the bunsen burners and all those foul smelling chemicals a friend of mine used to take the bunsen off the rubber tube, turn the gas on a little and light it.

it was really funny, until he set fire to a poster about fire safety (wheres the irony in that) and got suspended.
