Channel 9 was the emergency channel, there I remembered it. You could listen to it, and only use it for a proper emergency.

My mum's partner was called Night Rider, his brother was called Mirror Man, my friends were called Banana Man and Secret Squirrel.

I was a bit young to really get into CB Radio :(

I had friends who had them or had parents who had them.

Seeing the Smokey And The Bandit movies made me wish I had one for myself...

In one of the Ricky Gervais podcasts, Rick and Stephen Merchant take the pee out of Karl Pilkington 'cos he used be into CB radio. It's very funny but can't remember which episode it was, and they do make it sound very pointless!

Smokey and the Bandit films are quality, as is Convoy. Anyone else seen this?

I was into cb as a kid my handle was Nighthawk. Do you reckon that if you powered up a cb right now that there would actually be anyone on there? Maybe in the states but i doubt it in uk.
