Who remembers mtvs most wanted from around the mid 1990s.
it went out on week night around the middle of the evening and it was always full of jokes and stupidity presented by ray cokes the man with the jokes.
the show was very funny and sometimes had some good bands playing live in the studio

Good shout Forestville.
Used to love watching Ray Cokes and his jokes with the cameraman. Was very funny back in the day, Cokes was very amusing.

The music programmes I enjoyed most on MTV (when it did play music) was X-Mix and the Chill Out Zone. I doubt any station nowadays would play independent music away from the commercial scene like MTV did back in the 90s.

I remember Ray Cokes

Didn't he always used to go on about 'naughty' Nina and her 'boys'

and some other guy called 'Ben......Dover'?
I seem to remember Ray Cokes releasing a charity single too...

Oh I used to absolutely LOVE this programme
I actually did a short story for an English lesson about waking up as Ray Cokes, since I knew more about him than anyone else at the time I did quite a good story and got a really good mark for it which was amazing since I didn't like English class (well, the teacher was fit...)
I used to annoy my mum and dad by watching it, in the end my dad took the dish down.
MTV had to be one of my favourite channels, it introduced me to Wierd Al Yankovic and Army Of Lovers. Plus I had the hots for Kristiana Backer and I remember once she was on Ray's show or something and said "If you play with feathers, you'll get your bottom tickled". Not sure what she was on about but hey, she was hot.

I was just browsing Google and came across...
Ray Coke's MySpace page!. I wonder if any of the other MTV Europe VJ's are on his friends list.

Yo! MTV was my fave channel.
I think that's what it was called. And then they changed it to MTV Base. WHY!

Not sure, they had a couple of MTV channels back in the early 2000's, I remember back in 2001/2002 I used to watch quite a lot of MTV Dance, still wasn't as good as the MTV in the early days though.
