Flash Gordon is a hilarious and fun cheesy retro classic!

Tron? I can't see anything cheesy about that film. :? :? :? :?

You do realise that the noise that you hear from that horrible thing is a bloke on a microphone standing behind the camera that sounds like he is burping.

By the way, who wouldn't say no to that lady who I believe was Ming's daughter that fancied the pants of Flash Gordon, but he kept on rejecting her. :?

Its available on DVD, I picked it up ages ago for a couple of quid. Its mostly standard ropey swords and sorcery stuff, but it has some fun characters and the effects are passable for its age. At the time the dragon was awesome, but it gets far too little screen time, mostly being held for the big finale. I still have a fondness for it.

Tron hasn't dated badly at all, I've watched it at least twice in the last year or so. Special Edition DVD is cheap too and worth it for all the extras.

Tbh I like all of the above films, but I'd probably put Beastmaster at the bottom, mostly because its a film I only saw once when it had dated a bit, but not enough so that it had a retro charm.

Love Flash Gordon and Beastmaster, never rated Tron.
The missus loves Labyrinth.

For me it would have to be Tron, my other half loves Labyrinth. She's really into films like that, I'm not, I prefer things like Tron, Back To The Future etc.

Um... Why no Hawk the Slayer? Now that was brilliant.

Of those, I'd choose Krull. Bernard Bresslaw being crushed FTW!

Of that lot it's got to be Flash Gordon.

But I think you've missed another essential one off the list.......

Where's Clash of the Titans?

Tough one, as I like 'Tron' and 'Flash Gordon' equally.

Flash Gordon for me wins after extra time and penalties. Cheesy plot, gloriously OTT soundtrack and the dulcet tones of Brian Blessed - in a rather camp film.

As for Tron, I love the graphics. I do remember reading somewhere that Supertramp turned down the chance of doing a soundtrack to this film.
