Only reason I didn't make a thread like this myself is because I presumed there would already be one - this show was so amazing and a very vivid memory of my youth :)

I remember back in the late 80s when 'Acid House' was in fashion. We got invited to a party hosted in an abandoned house that was soon to be demolished. Being innocent kids from Hampshire we stepped into a room that was totally devoid of furniture; the only feature was carpets and a roaring log fire. I remember saying 'Ooooh! its like a scene from Knightmare!'

What was the fantasy based kinds adventure quiz before that? The crescendo was a maze type thing where the kids had to jump from point to point; think the maze was called 'The Vortex'

Man alive! The Vortex was one scary thing to watch. Imagine actually falling off one of those thin paths into the depths of space!?!

And Uncle....... what was all that about? Sometimes he was a talking (bibbling) plant, other times he was ...... other things.

Left! No! The other Left!

What was the dragon called? Usually at the end of the level. The saddle of the dragon was huge and took over all the back. Sometimes the children walked on air to get into it! :D

Was it just in a flat room? Or was there small holes to fall into, as when they "fell" they used to fall like they fell (if that makes sense), rather than just stand there.

The sets did have some 3D elements, particularly in later series - the well opening was solid, small flights of stairs. The tables with clues on were real.

SIGNED PHOTOS!

Post by STranger81 » Tue Apr 22, 2008 3:04 am

we applied to knightmare in 1991 and once we'd done all the forms and stuff they sent us this huge parcel of stuff. Badges and stickers and that. We divided it up between us, but also there were a set of signed cast photos which I kept for myself. Ive still got them and theres not a smudge to be seen (very proud!)

theres tregaurd, pickle, motley, mellie, that wizard bloke and the girl barbarian.

We never got to be on though which was a let down
