Knightmare

Post by mohicankid » Mon Mar 31, 2008 8:32 pm

i loved this tv show!
kind of a dungons and dragons game show for kids with lots of drawn on animation and cheesy amdram actors!
i loved the thought of these kids walking 'round an empty ware-house with a bucket on their heads whilst their mates got over exited shouting
"forwards, side step to the left ,and again, forwards, quick, RUN RUN RUN!....WHEW!"
haha just watched an old episode on youtube and its still great! :D

Knightmare.

I saw a modern take on it the other weekend, minus the bucket helmet.

I very much remember Knightmare. I always remember Treguard who was the bloke with the beard that presented the show and helped and guided the team.

'OOOOHHHHH NASTY!' (one of his classic one liners)

I've downloaded a few series, specifically ones where teams won. It's still fun to watch, especially as some of the teams are less than competent, there's one team of girls that were just screaming at their dungeonear(?) in one of the rooms sending her all over the place and you can see Treguard laughing his head off in the background.

Mohican kid or a moderator, can we get the thread title changed to Knightmare? Thanks.

The 8-bit game was OK, the burning candle showing your energy and the turning of the pages of the "book" were quite good on the C64.

They used to often be faced with a talking wall that used to ask questions. I think he was called Granitar, or some other grante/rock pun.

He made me laugh because, depending on whether you got the answer correct or not, he'd either shout "FALSEHOOD!" or "TRUTH ACCEPTED!"

Anyone who uses the word "Falsehood" is ace in my opinion.

weird!

I bet it scared you so much that you have blanked it from your memory, and only key phrases or images will trigger the hidden details......

Either that, or you just saw the adverts.

Maybe the former () but I haven't seen any adverts. Just the words you typed (particularly the 'Truth Accepted' part) gave me a flashback :P
